  1. Wow!! Pierre! That's simply amazing! Now I want to build some little motors and LED's in my Junkers JU-52, and covering a Mirage III with aluminium tape. You inspired me :)
  2. Maybe I've got another method to make rivets, without a 'Rosie'. Can't you use a little comb with fine needles for the hairs of a dog or cat or another hairy pet? You can push the needles in the foil, and I think it will create a fine row of rivets.. I haven't a comb like that, because I haven't any pets.. so I never tested this method. But it must be possible
  3. On your first photo, you see the reflection of the red tail in the shining wing. I love it
  4. Wow, he's getting better and better! How will you make the 'Swiss Air Lines' markings on the fuselage and the registration-numbers?
  5. Yeah, I love that engine too  But I was wondering, when you glue on the cowlings, how much of the engine will be still visible?
  6. With some patience hand-painting isn't quite difficult.. but white, is a very nasty color to paint by hand, but with airbrush too I haven't followed the sub-21 championship, but when Holland plays in the world championship I will watch the match on TV
  7. I've built this one one two years ago, it's a nice kit.. but don't forget to add some weight in the nose, my Hunter is a tail-sitter..
  8. Yeeee, the madman is back Nice shape, I can't wait to see both wings glued on :D
  9. Hi Vitor, I hand-painted it, because my airbrush is temporarily out of use.. But I hope I can airbrush again within a month :D
  10. I used a few weatheringmethods, the chipping on the prop is clearly visible. The white figure on the spinner is painted, because the decal for it was rubbish The wire between the tail and canopy is made of a piece of fishingwire.
  11. Wow! That's simply fantastic! And that dragon.. nice, very nice! <_<
  12. Hi all, This is my Focke Wulf Fw-190. The scale is 1:72 and it's a Revell-kit. I hand-painted it. Enjoy! Reactions are always welcome! Jelle
  13. Hi Frank, I think you forgot to place your photos! Because I can't see any photos..
  14. Well, my very first airbrushjob was the worst you've ever seen.. it was a 1:144 Jumbo Jet I repared for someone who had just glued the whole thing together.. my paint was so thin that the next morning the paint all slid off But this F-16 was my first paint-job with a compressor.. I painted the wings of a A380 with those liquid-oxygen cannisters, and that became a very smooth paint-job.. but the rest of the A380 is rubbish :)
  15. Thanks.. hey, you're a Dutchman too
  16. Haha, this is really cool.. reactions on my models from all over the world ;)
  17. Thanks Madman I want to build the Monogram 1:48 Dakota too, in a KLM-scheme.. :)
  18. Hi, Here are my Dakota's. I've built three Dakotas and a fourth one is in progress. The first one is in a KLM-scheme. The second one I've built is in a Martins Air Charter scheme (but the aircraft is owned by the Dutch Dakota Assiocation and is still flying after more than fifty years! The third one is in a Swiss Air Lines-scheme, and this one is still flying too. They are all in scale 1:72, and they're all hand-painted. The first one. I've built this one one year ago. When I built this one I'd never heard from sanding and filling gaps, so a long seam is clearly visible on top of the roof
  19. Thanks for your reactions! That makes a newbie happy I've built seventy models, but most of them are built in three days or less, so they are rubbish.. But I've got a lot of models I want to show to you, so prepare for it! And Drew, I haven't made all the riggings, because of the scale.. I have made the most important riggings for a sense of detail. On a bigger scale such as 1:32 I would make all the wires.
  20. Hi Fulcrum, thanks The paintjob isn't very smooth indeed, because I have to practice a bit more. Airbrush is a quite new technique for me
  21. Hi all, I've finished this model yesterday. It's a F-16B Fighting Falcon, with decals from the KLu. KLu is an abbreviation for Koninklijke Luchtmacht, which is Dutch voor Royal Airforce. Not the Royal Airforce of the UK (RAF) but the Dutch Royal Airforce. We've got queens and kings here as well, you know  The kit is from Italeri, and scale 1:72. The kit is moulded very tight, and the parts fitted together quite well. But, the model has got a lot of mistakes! -The KLu-roundels: They are too big, the blue area is too bright, and the white area is too big as well. So I used a set of Du
  22. Hi Grant, thanks for your reaction! I've made a 1:48 SE5-a as well, and on that one I've made the rigging from fishingwire. But on these little models I prefer using stretched sprue, because on short ends it't very easy to use. And that control stick, I have to admit there isn't a stick at all  It was a microscopic thin stick, which broke in the middle when I tried to cut it off the sprue. I should make a new one..
  23. Pierre, I've followed this topic for about two months now, and I think it's just amazing wat you've built so far. The DC-3 is my favourite airplane, especially in this shiny color! Respect for your patience to cover the whole aircraft with aluminium-tape, the result is stunning!! Aren't you afraid it will be suddenly take-off, when you turn on those engines? Keep up the good work!! Greets from Holland, Jelle
  24. Hello, My name is Jelle, I'm fifteen years old and I'm from Holland (so my username is The Flying Dutchman  ) My English isn't perfect, I know, but I'm trying my best to make correct English sentences. I've finished my Albatros D.III one month ago. The kit is from Roden, and the scale is 1:72. This is the aircraft Julius Arigi used in the first world war. Julius Arigi was a Austro-Hungarian, but he flew for the German air force. The machine-gun on the upperwing wasn't given in the kit, so I used a spare gun from a Heinkel He-70. I created a wood-effect by drybrushing the fuselag
