This build represents an F4D-1 Skyray from VF-13 flying off the USS Shangri La. Kit is the 1/48 Tamiya offering. The kit goes together very easily with minimal filler needed. Decals are from the new Furball sheet. The decals performed flawlessly. The only kit decals used are the walkway markings. Intake covers are from Steel Beach. I know very little about the Skyray, so I went with what was in the box for the loadout. Panel lines are highlighted using a black wash from "The Detailer." Comments and critiques are welcome. Brian

First build for 2013 was just completed tonight. It's the 1/48 Hasegawa A-7E kit. Everything is straight out of the box with the exception of a Steel Beach intake cover and decals from Superscale for a VA-87 CAG bird. I've always like the Indian head tail markings. Loadout consists of 2 gas bags, 2 AGM-12's, 2 LAU-10's and 2 AIM-9's. I have no idea if this loadout was ever used (or is correct), but it looked good and each item can go on the pylon per the chart in the instructions.
