  1. Mine is a download from the web, but it may well have been a scan from Wings of Fame or IAPR. I think I've found it in a thread on "unusual load-outs". Key Publishing forums, maybe?
  2. I'm sure I've seen a picture of a Greek F-104 with a Bullpup. Will have to see if I have it on my computer somewhere later (currently browsing ARC on the phone).
  3. You're right. They don't appear to be one inch tall. But that isn't really the question. The question is: are people standing 48 feet away perceived to be as tall as a 1/48 figure held one feet away from your eye? One feet to 48 feet. Actually one "unit of measurement" to 48 "units of measurement". Imperial/metric doesn't matter here. As long as you're keeping the units in your experiment constant, it doesn't matter which one you use.
  4. For a return-to-the-hobby kit, I'd go for something that fits well and isn't too fussy. Personally, I'd stay away form the old(er) Airfix, Revell and Italeri kits and go for something more modern tooling-wise. They may not even be that more expensive. Basically as seawinder said. You can always deal with the less well-fitting kits later. I've never understood recommending older kits to beginners and returners. If you're getting into making silk purses, why not start with a fuss-free and vice-less silk purse kit? Why start with a sow's ear? Sure, they're cheap and getting to the silk purse will
  5. Last pic a gentle reminder for modellers: WEATHER YOUR ORDNANCE! 😉 I love this thread so much!
  6. Very nice work on the camouflage. Nice subject, too. Hadn't seen those markings before. The tiger stripes on the tanks look pretty cool.
  7. Nice build! Always thought these markings looked great!
  8. Loving everything about this! 😍 The paintjob and markings, the load-out, the CFTs, that it's gonna be in-flight.... so cool! Since it's a what-if... how about some modified weaponry? 😈 A HARM body with the intakes/strakes/??? from a Meteor BVRAAM would look cool.
  9. Revell did a 1/32 Apache at some point. That should have some. I think Brengun do a set of resin Hellfires + launchers.
  10. Gorgeous work! 😍 Love the weathering.
  11. Some additional cents from a resin beginner (who isn't vacuum casting (yet)): I guess it's absolutely possible to put all the parts in one mould. As a beginner, I would do separate moulds anyway. Reason #1: If it works according to plan you will not save much silicone. If it doesn't work according to plan, you'll waste much more. Ask me how I know.... Reason #2: it'll be simpler to cast individual replacements should a part or two come out wonky. Say you get good casts of the nose and the intake walls, but a bad one on the intake lips. It'll be easier to cast extra intake lips
  12. Did some digging on the Invision website and it appears this panel can't be toggled on/off by individual users, but is controlled solely by the Admin. More about it >>HERE<< on Invision's website. I also don't like this panel. I don't think it adds anything relevant, and is actually more trouble than it's worth in that it downsizes pics in the thread. The information it gives is only displayed at the top of the page. Once you scroll down a bit, it really only generates empty space, leaving you with smaller pics.
  13. Mojo is an iffy, mercurial thing. I really want to continue with my Migs - got an idea for weathering on the Bulgarian Fishbed that sounds great in my head -, but at the same time, I also really kinda don't want to. Instead I'm looking at modelling videos on teh YouTubes, only to constantly find that now it's too late at night to continue on the MiGs, but I'll definitely do it tomorrow. Yeah, right.... Good luck finding your mojo. And rightly so! Looks like the blood sacrifice really paid off.
  14. Jolly good work! Great in-progress thread. Really informative. Love the oxygen mask conversion for the pilot. Way cool!
  15. Lovely work so far! 😍 Nice choice of subject. The last QF-4s looked really cool.
  16. Gorgeous Corsair. Very cool to not only see an Argentinian Corsair, but also one in the light grey scheme.
  17. Wonderful Viper! All round great weathering, but I really like the weathering on the upper fuselage and wings - just superb!
