  1. Hey guys, we're begining our final 06' evaluation and we have Aviano (510th) and Willow Grove PANG the first week and Seymore Johnson and Shaw the second week. I'll make sure our guys get plenty of video and photos.
  2. Hey guys, who's built the 32nd scale strike eagle, is it a Tamiya kit? Who liked it and who didn't what are the ups and downs to the kit. I'm looking to get one and trying to find it local first before lookingon the web.
  3. Hey, I have seen quite a bit of really nice diecast models out there. I was wondering if anyone has ever bought one and changed the scheme on it. I don't know how they're built to see how they're painted or even know if after market decals will work on them. Some of you are probably wondering why anyone would want to do that, well it's a quick way to make a going away gift.
  4. Yeah, The tails are pretty cool huh? http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h143/ham...th/674G6294.jpg
  5. OBD- That's probably the best answer I need. I'll try that, I'll post a pic after I try it.
  6. This is new. I just got a set of Twobobs Hill viper decals and it looks as you have to put down a white decal and then the color. How do you do that and make it turn out good? I guess times have changed since I put on decals last. Are there any visual aids in here any where?
  7. I've noticed in the progress build threads that when before putting the final scheme down that all the panel lines are painted dark grey or black. Why? What effect are we pulling off here. :)
  8. My goal, once I get to finishing an F-16 for my 2 year old, is to build an aircraft representing each unit my wife and I served for. My wife was a Life Support troop for the 94th Spads at Langley. I think I got the decals located but I want a good kit. I did build a 15C back in the day but I don't remember what kit it was, I remeber if didn't fit very well and I puttied it alot. Thanks for the info in advance.
  9. That looks good. Now tell me why do you paint the black over all the lines? I've never done that. I really can't see what it's doing, pulling the panel lines out to look deep? Please explain.
  10. You can have it loaded however you want. But to be realistic in the way you're builing it, then leave them off because if it's ready to go, the pins will be removed.
  11. Scout, During loading procedures, the very last step is to fuze/arm the weapon. And yes, it is safe to leave it parked on the ramp or hot pad like that. This is very accurate info because I am a loader and have worked the weapons load training/load barn. The order in which you pull them, well, do you really need to know?
  12. Admiring your work? Falcon, when were you there today taking pictures? Who do you work with that allows you to take pictures on the 419th ramp?
  13. Here's a few during a special evaluation with our neighbors to the North. I'm sure some of you Hornet fans will really like these. http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h143/ham...F-7709A-006.jpg http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h143/ham...F-7709A-004.jpg http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h143/ham...F-7709A-002.jpg http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h143/ham...F-7709A-005.jpg http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h143/ham...F-7709A-002.jpg http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h143/ham...F-7709A-016.jpg There's more to come. I figured there would be hornet fans all over this, but apparently I got
