  1. The result was well worth the building time - pleeease don't rush your future projects to make sure they look as excellent as this one. :D Lothar

  3. He still owes me big, big money for some prepaid 32nd Buccaneer kits when he was still Aerodynamix. When I asked him back then why he wouldn't ship my kits he told me he couldn't produce them because he was suffering from stomach cancer I hope he had fun spending my hard earned money. Lothar
  4. Please don't tell me that their T.17 has the same mistakes - I've just got me one at the Nats !?!?! Lothar
  5. Wow No further comments necessary Lothar
  6. As for the canopy, the CMK set is quite disappointing and does not contain a complete canopy. One has to remove a segment from the Tamyia kit canopy and replace it with a vacformed blister that comes with the CMK set. This might be a bit tricky. (Hope I didn't violate any copyrights :D ) Maybe fighting the Paragon canopy to fit might be the better solution. Just my thoughts. Lothar
  7. Congratulations, excellent paint job and finish, fantastic looking model Lothar

  11. I think this is a take it or leave it issue. From an analyst's point of view Mandrakes arguements might be undisputable, from a modeler's point of view I'd rather follow Pete Wenmans explanations: Most of my day at work consists of rules, instructions, regulations, guidelines etc., etc. For this reason I love the time that's left for modelling - I can make my own decisions how to approach and handle something, I don't have to follow any rules and I can put my model up for discussion or not, maybe we all need this gray zone where we can relax and enjoy. He who wants to play by the rules - model
  12. They're both identical kits, except that the ProMod kit has a far better instruction booklet with some reference photos and the decals are for different machines: ProMod has decals for NJG 5 and 6 Defence of the Reich (Maj. Wolfgang Schnaufer) with swastikas, RoG has decals for NJG 101 but without the swastikas. HTH. Lothar
  13. PD Decals from Australia did some nightfighter sets: 48-005 for Ju 88Gs and 48-006 for Me 110Gs Not sure if they're still available. Here's their adress: PD Models P.O. Box 883 Eltham, Australia 3095 HTH. Lothar

  21. Obviously there's a dimensional difference between the early and late built Tristars, the later built -500 series has a shorter fuselage and a longer wingspan. Which version does the RAF have in the inventory ? And are these 2 or 3 crew aircraft? Any helpers ? TIA. Lothar
