P-47D-3 Thunderbolt "Daring Dottie III" (Tamiya 1/72)
polybebber replied to rav_pl's topic in Critique Corner
Now that's a beauty, excellent choice of markings and a fantastic paint job and finish Lothar -
Would one of these qualify? They belonged to the 5th Emergency Rescue Squadron and were carrying life rafts and smoke markers. If yes, I only have to decide if 48th or 32nd scale. Lothar

OK, I'd like to trade your HB A-10 package for my AMK Kfir package: AMK kit (contents sealed, box in excellent condition), Aztec decals 48-004 for Kfir C2/TC2, Eduard PE (pre-painted) for the cockpit, QB air Scoops, Aires MB Mk. 4 resin seat, QB antennas and Aires C2/C7 exhaust nozzle. I'm just across the border. Lothar -

Last night I applied an insignia decal on top of the wing of my 1/48 Hasegawa F/A-18E build: As the decal looked the right color on the sheet (it's the original Hasegawa decal sheet) I almost fainted when I saw that thing turn green/blue or whatever you may call it during setting. Wing top color is Gunze H307 FS 36320. To my eyes the decal color is far off and it needs to be replaced. All other markings on the sheet for the VFA-27 Royal Maces aircraft look to be the right color but I don't want to take any further risk and decided to ask if anybody here knows of a cure or has experienced

Cockpit color Swiss Mirage IIIS/RS question
polybebber replied to polybebber's topic in Jet Modeling
Thank you all for your help, I'll go with green. If I'm not mistaken Switzerland bought 1 C and 2 or 3 Bs for evaluation and training purposes from France, all other aircraft were license built. So you're in 48 scale then? I'm planning mine in 32nd scale, but still hunting down some more information and bits and pieces. I'll be ready to start in about two weeks, would be sure interesting to share opinions and information. Lothar -
Stunning, simply stunning, that goes for the models and the photography :worship: The finish is stellar. Lothar

As title says, I need to know what cockpit color Swiss Mirage IIIs had. I just gave up a Google search with almost no results. I tend to believe they were grey but I found a picture showing a green one and what looks like a black one. Can anyone help ? Thanks. Lothar
