Nice work....great photography, too.

This may be old news, but I've only just read it. It seems Fantastic Plastic is releasing a line of Nasa's lifting body research vehicles in 1/48th scale, starting with the HL-10. Release date is sometime next year.

You need this book... F-18 Hornet in Detail & Scale, Part 1: Developmental & Early Production Aircraft - D&S Vol. 6 Paperback – 1982 http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/418AwfyLLXL.jpg There are used copies on Amazon for less than three dollars.

The ejection handle between the legs was there in case the pilot couldn't reach the dual overhead handles (which were equipped with a face curtain).Newer seats like the ACES II are equipped only with the single handle.

Found this on the net... According to this drawing the dimensions of a typical Nimitz class elevator are 85' at the outboard edge, 70' at the inboard edge and 52' in width. In 1/48 that would be 21.25" outboard dimension, 17.5" inboard dimension, and 13" overall width.

Wow!! Thanks for all the info, gentlemen. I knew i could count on you to come through.

Thanks bro...didn't know the MPC kit wasn't a standard scale.
-
I was wondering if anyone could sum up the various x-wing kits available...things like manufacturer, scale, etc. Thanks.

You could build your own, like this young man did. -
Does anyone remember who is releasing a 1/32 decal sheet for the F-104C? I have an old Hasegawa kit without decals.

Dude, your real space builds are always fantastic. And you seem to complete them so quickly.Just by looking at the landing gear you're fabricating, this one already looks like another winner. Did I mention I hate you....just kidding, Pete. Keep the good stuff coming.

I've been waiting to see one of these things built up....got one on the shelf just waiting for me to chop it up.

Saw a list of future releases by various manufacturers on the Cybermodeler website.Looks like Kinetic is releasing a 1/48 T-45 Goshawk.Guess I won't have to try and figure out how to convert my Airfix Hawk after all.
