  1. Wow, Honza, this is great work, very inspirational! Keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing this one completed.
  2. i'm gonna stick with it. after watching some cool youtube videos, i've gotten back into the hun. i will just glue the stuff on the best i can. i figure its a good learning experience on how to deal with a few things. since i've had the kit, it has been in the house, but it was probably stored in an attic or garage for a long time. thanks for all your suggestions..i now know a few things to look for in the future.
  3. sorry guys, just need to vent/gripe.... so i wanted to build an old classic silver jet. i was getting tired of doing the same gray jets over and over. i grabbed a monogram f-100 out of the stash and got excited, gonna build it out of the box, no additions but decals. as i'm building i'm finding parts that need re-assembling due from cracking off. i didnt break them, thats how they where. the engine fairings, real stabs, all landing gear, tail hook and pretty much most of the non major parts. the rear horiz stabs broke off the same exact way taking chunks of the fuselage with it. i'm almost

  7. this coming weekend i'll have some free time, so i'm working on a quick build, 1/1144 Revell B-52H. I've gotten all the major assembly done. hoping to paint it, wheel it, and decal it.
  8. looks great jack, my favorite navy phantom is showtime 100!!!
  9. VERY COOL Alby!! i use automotive paints on my car builds as well.... this is going to be really nice, love the color choice...
  10. got a 1/48 Hasegawa A-7E "Last Mission," and last friday got a 1/48 Monogram F-105F. both ebay winnings.
  11. Every now and then i'll jump on ebay and check out 1/48 kits. I came across a monogram F-105F with a shark mouth and thought that was the coolest thing, and got if for $9! Was never really interested in the kit before seeing this boxing. Something about the big silver jet with bombs underneath with the big mouth just made it look nasty!!! Heres the kit http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/3069/image1aj.jpg so what box art made you get a certain kit??? ****EDIT: oops, i ment to post in the general forum if the mods want to move it
  12. this is exactly what i do. you nailed it phil. an old monogram kit is the cure for getting down on modeling. i'm about to do this exact thing with a F-100. I just finished up an italeri tomcat that just took the fun out of it, it seemed i had to work extra hard on every step of the way. the other comment about 1 person having trouble with a kit, and the next person says it just falls together. i don't know why that is, but it happens. i suggest being in the right frame of mind to build, and do a kit that you don't go all out on. i can say by experience, some of those will be your nicest kits,
  13. closest HL to me is like 2.5 hrs away, wish i could go pick up a B-1, and some other stuff. maybe i'll get board one day and drive over. sounds like some good deals. would like to stumble across a 50% coupon for that B-1.
  14. its this one... http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10030789 1/48 Hasegawa F-4G WW kit PT9
  15. I really want to build the F-4G WW from the 23rd TFS, SP. I have the Monogram Pro-Modeler (aka re-bagged Hasegawa) F-4E kit. Box is open, but all the bags are sealed, decal sheets are perfect. However I can't seem to win the F-4G PT9 on ebay, i'm outbid everytime and I've tried 5 times!! :( its this one http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10030789 I would love to get the F-4G WW PT9 kit instead of converting my E into a G. I can also throw in a Monogram MiG-29, or a few aftermarket items to sweeten the deal, as my stash is pretty small. I have a few really cool decal sheets to offer if need. Anybod
  16. does anyone have a spare/extra sheet for any silver f-100? i have the old monogram kit, and half of the decals are offset. The graphics don't line up with each other. open to buy (cheap please!) or do a decal trade. let me know what you're needing and i may can help. bstznut@hotmail.com or pm me here, either way. thanks!
  17. lookin good! keepin an eye on this build, maybe i'll learn something!
