I won the ever popular Revell-Monogram 1/77th Ford Trimotor in the raffel at Anniston today. Are there any aftermarket decals out there? I figured if there were you airline guys would know. Thanks. Airrex

Bravo! well put Big Texan. We are one nation now. I'm not sure non-southerners understand what it means to be southern. As I can tell you I have no idea what it's like to be a northerner. I am proud to be born in the south. Born in Alabama, once called "The Heart of Dixie". BTW Big Texan, I lived 20 years in Texas and consider at least part of my self "Texan". I love Texas. My past kin were not slave owners. They were dirt poor mostly sharecroppers.

I also found a way to deal with the "Funky neon blue" color on the photo-etch. I drybrushed Model Master enamel Russian cockpit Blue-green over the whole piece. I them used a fine point brush with minimal mineral spirits and painted the MM off of the parts that were not blue-green. It worked great! you may need more than one dry brush application but the mineral spirits will remove w/o problems. The paint Eduard put on the PE seems quite durable. Airrex

All photos now gone! Bummer...

I think the Hobby Lobby deal days are over. The 3 in my area have no need of clearance because they don't have that much. Instead of the shelf being 3 or 4 deep with kits, 1 kit now sits with nothing behind it. Variety of kits are less. All 3 keep a whole wall for cars, but tanks and ships are dissapearing. Planes are thin. I look but don't buy there anymore. I guess I can only speak for the 3 that are in my area though. Airrex

Lots of wisdom here. Funny, my modeling resoulution for 2011 is "Have Fun". If it's not fun, why do it? Modeling is our hobby, not our job. Yes there are a few out there who build for profit. I have one as a close friend. Building for $ can be a big burn out. Have fun, build your way. airrex -
