  1. Man that thing is small. Nice job on hte build.
  2. Ben thanks for posting. That's what I'm looking for. I though Darren at Steel Beach made a set, but it must of been these that I saw instead. Mark
  3. Did Steel Beach make a set of intake plugs for the 1/48th Hasegawa Phantom? I thought I saw some on Sprue Brothers web store, but a recent check there I could find any. Or is this a future release it? Anyone....? Darren???
  4. Shhhhhh! Please keep that a secret as I have some Black Box cockpit I was hoping to make a little money off from on eBay.

    In 1/48th scale, no.
  6. In the US call Tamiya America at 1 800 TAMIYA-A. If they have the sprue on hand they will sell it to you. More info here. http://www.tamiyausa.com/contact/index.php http://www.tamiyausa.com/articles/feature....le-id=157#cstop
  7. Nice build. A very clean looking Viking.
  8. Okay there is no way I'm making the dead line on this one. To be continued in the "In-Progress Pics" ...
  9. Wow! Nice job on your model. I totally missed these when they were posted.
  10. More than I can finish in this life time, yet I can always buy more.
  11. Gustav, If you're taking suggestions for future products how about a buddy refuelling pod for the Revell or Hasegawa Super Hornet in 1/48? Please :D Mark
  12. A friend of mine used to fly Tomcats and did the airshow circuit for awhile. He said that question was posed to him so often and he got so sick of always answering it only to receive the deer in the headlights look that he used to pull the circuit breaker for the nozzle position control so both nozzles would be same position at shut down.
  13. Yesterday I scored a Hasegawa 1/48 F/A 18A "Top Gun/Adversary" boxing at 30% off. Asked the propietor of the store if he was selling it on consignment and he said no. It had been on his shelf for about three years. I've been in the store a few times in the past three years, just never saw it until yesterday.
  14. I'll be watching this one too. I'm interested in how the Two bobs decals will fit the Tamiya kit. I have those decals also and was planning on using them on my Tamiya kit. Mark
  15. In the US you can call Tamiya Customer Service at 1 800 TAMIYA-A. They will sell you the whole sprue that a part is on. I've done this for a couple of Tamiya armor kits. It depends if they have the sprue available at the time you call. It can be hit or miss. The times that I have called, if they don't have what I need I just try back in a week or two. Eventually they will have what you need. HTH, Mark
  16. Hey Duty Cat, thanks for the tip. I'll have to run out to the Target store near me to see if they have such a gizmo in stock. Sounds like it works great.
  17. Wow, nice looking Phantom. Whose decals did you use for this build? Mark
  18. If you can get a hold of the book Hornet from the Modern Military Aircraft series by Lou Drendel from Squadron/Signal Publications you might find what you need. I'm not sure if the book is still in print and still available. The copy I have I bought back in 1988. In the book there are a couple of pages with fold out scale drawings of the F-18. One of the fold outs has drawings of the oval tanks in 1/72. I would scan a copy for you, but the old scanner I have is not compatable with the Vista OS that I have on my new computer. HTH Mark
  19. Ugh! I could use more time too. I'm hoping to get my kit done in time but I'm having my doubts. My son just reminded me his Pinewood Derby race is on March 29 and we haven't started his car yet. Oh well I see what I can get done before the month is out.
  20. Would that happen to be a prize your girlfriend won on Wheel? My parents own a time share in Mazatlan, so I have been there many times. In fact my wife and kids are there now while I'm at home paying for it all. I've looked for a hobby shop, but have never found one. One thing I never did is ask some of the locals if there was a shop in town. I guess I'm always too busy having fun at the beach, pool or hora feliz. If you find one let me know. Have fun. Mazatlan is a great spot to go chill out, relax, and drink some Mexican beer and Margaritas. Mark
  21. Since I had the rotary tool mounted in my bench vise I thought I'd try to turn a couple AOA probes. Quick work to make two. For now they are just inserted into holes drilled in the side of the nose cone.
  22. I posted this on the Jet forums also for maximum exposure. Does anyone know approximately how long the hand holds are on the interior frame of an F-16 canopy? Thanks, Mark
