  1. Long shot here, but anyone willing to part with the MN decals from this sheet? Perhaps you bought this sheet for the SC decals and have no plans to use the MN decals. My son was just selected to fly their F-16’s out of DLH. Consequently I need to build at least one MN jet. I’m happy to pay or I’ve got lots of stuff I can trade. Kursad, any chance this sheet is on the re-print list? Mark
  2. Greetings all, My son was just selected to fly F-16’s out of Duluth MN for the MNANG. Consequently I’m looking for decals to build him a dark Viper. I am either looking for the MN decals from the Caracal Dark Vipers sheet CD 48093 or the MN decals from 1/48 Speed Hunter Test Vipers sheet. I’m happy to purchase or trade. Thanks, Mark
  3. I was looking at their site and was thinking about purchasing some uniform patch decals about a week before the announcement. It just goes to show you in this hobby if there is something you think you will want or need buy it before it goes OOP or the manufacturer ceases production.
  4. I went to place an order last night. They have suspended orders until 9/12 because of overwhelming response due to the announcement.
  5. It’s a new tooled kit from Eduard.
  6. #2 for Castro Super Clean. Not sure I would call it safe but very effective. Safer than brake fluid though. It is also cheap and readily available at Walmart or auto supply stores like Auto Zone.
  7. I’m doing the same. As I’m building the HobbyBoss for my son who is an A-10 crew chief, I’ll probably get the Academy to build one for myself. Looking forward to seeing this kit.
  8. I was in Dallas recently. I had some time to stop by the HobbyTown in Lewisville. They must have cut back on their supply of paints. The carry Tamiya, Mission Models and Vallejo. I was expecting more. Good selection of tools and okay selection of models.
  9. I flew the Max. Pretty sure the passenger windows are the same size as the other versions. Our manuals don’t address this topic. Boeing did make the 787 windows bigger but that’s a different airframe. There some electronic control enhancements. They are primarily in pitch so the the Max flies like the NG on approach. Boieng has redesigned their cabin interiors. The overhead bins have been redesigned so that roll aboard bags can be turned on their sides to accommodate more carry on bags in the cabin. The seats also have been redesigned. Less cushioning and lighter
  10. I’ll be watching this one. I heard this is a very nice kit. Tamiya like in its fit and engineering.
  11. Gwen, My LHS just started to carry the Tamiya lacquer line so I don’t have a lot of experience with it. Tamiya’s lacquers are similar to Gunze if you are familiar with those. Unlike MRP, Tamiya’s paints are not prethinned. I thin 50/50 with MLT. At that ratio coverage is a little better than MRP. I got a nice uniform coverage. I have not tried brushing it but assume it can be brushed for touch ups etc. MRP is a little too hot to brush. I used LP11 to base coat a P-38, then over painted with OD before I chipped off the paint. It was easy to use with good results. Also I can addr
  12. Take a look at Tamiya LP11. It’s a lacquer based paint and I thin it with Gunze Mr.Leveling Thinner. Sprays beautifully and very durable once dry.
  13. I have the Fightertown sheet 48-007 that I am willing to part with if you are interested. While not as comprehensive as the Furball sheet, it features five aircraft from their final cruise.
  14. There are kits still made in the USA?

  16. At least you won’t have sand off any raised details in the cockpit if Quinta comes out with a 3D printed cockpit set.
