A friend of mine was in Tokyo yesterday and went to the Tamiya store to pick a couple up. The kit doesn’t get released in Japan until 7/10. Retail price there is $75 US. Hopefully he will get back there in August. It’s not like I don’t have plenty of kits to work on in the meantime.

I have a LAS layover. I was going to make a trek to the Hobby Town here. I was checking their hours and saw on the interweb that the store is permanently closed. Is that true? If that’s the case it is sad to see another brick and mortar store go to the wayside.

I recently purchased a new iPhone 12 and have the same problem. I’ve tried changing my cookie preferences and clear my history but that hasn’t helped. I emailed SprueBrothers. They reported others have the same problem but unfortunately did not have a solution.

I don’t think I have seen a single advertisement for the kit. Everything I know about it has come from this forum. Plenty of free advertising for Tamiya, 16 pages worth and counting.

I can’t conceivably see how Tamiya would need to influence anyone to buy their kits. Lately just the simple fact it comes from Tamiya is good enough for me.

Hasegawa rereleased their C model about two years ago. I picked up one for the stash; I wished I had bought a dozen.

That was going to be my guess/hope.

Got my first shot of the Pfizer vaccine Friday. Worst side effect was that the weather all weekend was beautiful and I had to wait to fly my airplane for 48hrs. Other than that felt good. I’ve been told the second may not go as smoothly.
