  1. Dragon 1/48 B-26K (it even showed up in a promotional flyer) Revell (prior to the merger) announced a 1/48 fictional/conceptual Stealth Fighter that never came to fruition rumors for years that Monogram tooled up some parts for an F-86L/K to use with some of the D parts.
  2. haha! Damn auto correct! Didn’t catch that one 😃
  3. I do think there are a lot of uniformed buyers, or those who get caught up in a bidding war! My stash is big enough I can hold out for a “price is right” on these classic kits
  4. Prices people asking (and some paying) for classic monogram kits are crazy. Those single engine 1/48 kits are $5-10 kits, not the $20+ I see. If I was going to spend $20+ for a Monogram P-47 I’d just spend another $12 and get a Tamiya kit off Amazon.
  5. Hey Don, I might have this buried in the stash, you still looking?
  6. I’m hoping Atlantis got this one and eventually releases it.
  7. Just noticed the date on the original post….has it really been 10 years? Geez where does the time go!
  8. Definitely could use another sheet of those basic markings!
  9. I still have lots of love for it and the Esci kit. There’s more of them in the stash than any of the others. They make cheap decal platforms for the multitude of sheets I have. They can’t all be Tamiya/ZM. I left them out cause I wanted to build one of the newer kits, but just one I won’t have to battle along the way, and doesn’t have a million parts.
  10. Thanks for the comments! I’m leaning towards digging out the Hasegawa F-4S in the stash!
  11. Thanks for the reply’s! I appreciate it. Up to this point I’ve only built the old Esci and Monogram. Looking to start another one with the Tamiya/Academy/Hasegawa in the stash but I’m looking for a stress free build. Still looking to eventually get the ZM kit. FYI the Academy F-4B is available now on Amazon for $40 shipped (prime) if you’re USA based. Couldn’t pass up that price and grabbed another one. Prices always fluctuate so I don’t know how long it’ll be at that price.
  12. Quick question for you phantom phanatics who have built all the latest kits. How would you rank the 1/48 Tamiya, Academy, Meng, ZM for ease of construction? And where would the Hasegawa (recessed panel line) kits fit in there? Level of detail or number of parts not a concern. I’m more concerned about ease of assembly, fit battles, filling, etc….Thanks!
  13. I could see Fantastic Plastic doing one in resin in 1/72 or 1/144. Right up their alley of subject matter.
  14. I just got two of these, so I can stretch it into a true 200. This is essentially the 100 with 200 decals. I built the previous issue with eastern airlines decals as a UAL aircraft. Fun kit, definitely an artifact of its time. Looks good hanging in the garage of an old UAL mechanic. Vintage Flyer Decals can scale any of their sheets to fit this (did this with the UAL one I did), just make sure to have them scale a 100 scheme, unless you plan to stretch the fuselage.
  15. I’ve shipped 1000s of kits over the years. From downsizing my own stash that was over 1500 at one point to the current 400-500 size, to selling resin kits I produced for about 15 years. I learned lots of tricks. Do any online shopping? Save those boxes. Pretty much anything I ship these days is in a recycled Amazon/Walmart/target box. Save those white Amazon padded envelopes. Great for shipping books or cut down and use to ship decals with a cardboard backer. Get the free priority mail boxes. Hit up the FedEx store and grab a few of their free boxes in different sizes. You can t
  16. Nice! Glad I sold my Anigrand kit when I did!
  17. ProModeller F-86D, F-84, both very nice kits, especially the Sabre! Round 2 still does kit design in the USA (at least their sci-fi stuff) but they cut metal overseas. They also do limited runs here in the states, not every kit is shot in China. Look for their “made in the USA labeling” on certain boxes. Moebius used to do design work stateside and production overseas, I don’t know what they do now since Pegasus took over though, they keep stuff closer to their chest, but they’ve also been very active with new kits. Monarch is pretty much a one man show, but he does all des
  18. I’d love one in 1/48! I kick myself for selling off my collect-aire kit!
  19. I’ve used them twice and loved them! Worked well for me!
  20. Seeing it’s been a few months, any updates to this list?
