Haven't watched it yet, but i did "TIVO" it to watch later this week. For all those saying they where "underwhelmed" almost every review I've read from critics who have watched the entire episode run, a number of them stated the first two episodes where a little on the slow side, and that it picks up from there....

Spirit of St Louis might have been the last "new tool" aircraft From Revell USA, I think the F-86D was the last "new" military aircraft. But, in the last 10-15 years we also saw: F-84E/G JU-52 P-47N Curtiss Helldiver PBY HE-111 A-26

Just saw the flyer at the local shop for the upcoming 1:48 Mig-21 kit. Am I correct in assuming this is the same kit that was in the 2 kit "conflict in the middle east" box, where it was paired with the F-16? Charlie

It wouldn't be too hard to duplicate packaging. A recaster I'm not (I've got enough problems with people recasting my figure kits), but I've looked at some of the cutting edge resin in my stash and thought to myself how easy it would be to make pretty realistic recasts of them, packaging and all.

When I do a search for buster340 I get phantomdriverii is this the same guy, looks like he changed his user ID recently. If they are bootlegs, the original producer can file a VERO complaint with Ebay, and get the auctions yanked. There's a bit of paperwork involved, but once its in place, it is very effective.

Its clean out time again. I am cleaning out my foam cut offs. This is General Plastics 12 lb foam. Very similar to Balsa Foam urethane type 2. It's a nice grey color. I've got a box of odds and end in the shop, basically, I fill the shipping box till it meets the weights mentioned. Average size block is about 5" x 6" x 1".. Some are bigger, some are smaller, thicker and thinner. 2 lb box of this stuff for $25, shipped anywhere in the USA. I've got enough for 2-3 boxes. Has anyone ever done a decal sheet of the F-101B that flew with the 123rd FIS Oregon ANG? I've seen a superscale sheet in 1/72, but not 1/48th.

picked it up for under $10. Underdetailed, yes....was more curious about the basic shapes, orgins of the kit. is this an amt/ertl original, or a reboxing of a different manufacturers kit?

I've been planning on doing the same thing! You can fill in the gaps with Collect-Aire F-103, F-107, and F-108. Don't know if anyone ever did a 1/48 Bell F-109... Someone did an article somewhere on converting a F-4B to a F-110, and there's the academy F-111 line. charlie
