  1. Hi again! Many thanks Janne and Moritz for your words! As said I'm here with a new update. Little progress has been done on the aircrafts, but things that were necesarry to be done prior to painting. Well, from now on I will concentrate on working on the grey Viggens (JA-37DI and SF-37)because they are easier to paint than the other versions. So, I,ve installed the instrument panel on the JA-37 I also built a HUD from scrap PE and painted the IP cover. Then I futured, masked and installed the windscreen As seen on the pics I glued a new pitot tube made from a sewing needle sharpene
  2. Hi there! After the Christmas break and some days out of the modelling workbench for personal issues, I'm here again with a little update. I've finished the masters of the finfolds that I,ve been working for MaestroModels. So here are some a couple of pics of them. This is the 1/48 finfold And here the 1/72 finfold In adittion to this I've managed to make some progress on the kits, still no paint on them. I will post the progress tomorrow... Opinions, please? Juan
  3. Hi all! I want to wish everybody in this forum a Happy New Year! Cheers Juan

  5. I wish to everybody in this forum to have a Merry Christmas. Juan, from Spain
  6. hi there! as far as I know the only other set available for this aircraft is the Airwaves PE fret: http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/AEC72114 HTH. Juan
  7. hi Janne, excelent and fast building, as is usual with you! A suggestion, I don't know if you intend to build a specific aircraft or will just use the kit decals, but today i've found a very interesting history about an specific F-106 that after the pilot ejected from it landed unmanned. Take a look. http://www.avweb.com/eletter/archives/bizav/2086-full.html#205877 http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=448583 I thought it might be interesting to reproduce this particular AC. Cheers. Juan. P.S. Hurry up with that! You have a Viggen waiting for you!
  8. Hi there! No update by the moment, just to reply to Jorgen, Janne and Ricardo.First of all excuseme for this late response to Jorgen and Janne. I,ve been a quite absent from the forums latelly, but will try to post some pics on the next days. The fin fold conversions are almost done, both in 1/48 and 1/72 scale, but I,ve lost the inspiration to finish them, and in adittion I ,ve been not able to put a lot of time on the workbench this lat weeks... Anyway I will try to finish them before the end of the year and then hopefylly resume the work on the kits. Jorgen, many thanks for the link to
  9. Great progress, as usual with you. I really like that wheels well. keep that good job. Juan
  10. Hi there! Well, I’ve lost, definitely, my head with this project and now, this is the state in wich is the AJ-37 today. I’ve cut of the tail fin area and I’m curently scratchbuilding it in folded position. This is a possibility that I considered at the beginning of the building, but finally it was discarded because it did not find good photos of the area. Few days ago, Max, the owner of MaestroModels, sent me a batch of very detailded pics of this structure asking me if I would be willing to make a master for him to be casted in resin, so finally I had no choice but to accept h
  11. Many thanks Laz, Jan, Jose and Niklas for your words and your interest. Niklas, then I'll save those Skyflash for another occasion and will search for some AMRAAM for this bird. Thanks for your help. Cheers. Juan
  12. Hi again. Many thanks for your patience. Well, at last the fourth Viggen is completand ready (almost) to be primed along with the rest of them. The process has been, once again, as with the rest. Assemble the engine parts, wings, tail fin, canards and the underfuselage pylon. Somehow, I misplaced the exhaust ring, causing it to stand out enough for the bottom of the fuselage, so I had to increase this area to match the exhaust. This was done with strip stirene, filler and some patience. On this previous pic you can also see the antenna added to the right underwing, as on other versions,
  13. J***r tio! Stunning work! Keep that great level of detail. I'm sending you a PM. Juan
  14. Hi Jeremy! Altought I had never contacted you previously, I have been following some of your works here for some time ago. I would like to wish you luck during this difficult time. Take care , friend Juan, from Spain, where tinghs are hard too.
  15. Many thanks Joel for your kind words. And I agree with you, we need a decent kit of this bird, but in all the scales. Juan
  16. Thanks Niklas for your help, but now I'm even more confused. After the DI mod, can this version carry the Skyflash or this ability was removed in favor of the AMRAAM? My intention now is to use 4 AIM 9 and 2 Skyflash if this were correct... Juan
  17. Thanks Jane. So it can carry four AMRAAM but no four Skyflash? I've seen over the web a 3D recreation of this aircraft with 2 Sidewinder, 2 AMRAAM and 2 Skyflash, is this configuration correct? Juan
  18. Many thanks for your attention, friend. And about your eagerness, try to imagine mine... Juan
  19. S**t! Many thanks, Nicklas for your pointing, as I was completly unaware of that issue with the ailerons. I will work the modification and try to post some pics And about the chance of arming the AC with four AMRAAM, is this version able to carry four Skyflash, too? I have four of them made from white metal and PE, that would like to use if possible. Cheers Juan
  20. Hi Glynn! How are you? I'm Juan, from Spain. I would like to hear from you, as I've sent a couple of messages some time ago through this forum , without response. Please contact me. Juan
  21. And now, a new feature that I’ve introduced on this version. I’ve installed the ventral armament pylons . I will finish the kit with with the full load of four Sidewinders and two Sky Flash AA missiles. Those pylons are from an old Matchbox kit that had been rescribed, resaphed and then casted on resin. This is how the complete kit looks like by its undersurface. And here with its other two brothers, from left to right SF-37, AJ-37 and JA-37. And now, for the SK-37. Opinios are welcome, as always. Juan
  22. H i again!. Many thanks all for your interest. Well, at last the JA-37 is finished. The truth is that this is starting to be a bit boring, because it is the same job every time. I.E. placing the control surfaces on the wings, with its hinges at the top Novelty is that in this model there is an extra actuator on each wing , four instead of three. I added the vortex generators on the canards. This time two on each one instead of one Some antennas were then scratchbuilt and placed on the dorsal spine. One more aerial behind the rudder. This one comes from the Eduard PE set
  23. Hi Jan! Great progress here! keep that good working. Juan
  24. Hi again! I´m here with a new update. No a great progress, as I´m still working on the JA-37 kit, but it has taken me some time to get a good join between the two halves of the fuselage and also add the small section of spine missing. After some filling, sanding and more and more, I think I've got a flawless result . Still have to rescribe some areas around the joint, but otherwise it´s done. With this area done I assembled the canards and corrected the aangle of the elevons. I also assembled the vertical fin and smoothed the area. While working on the fin I decided to move the
