  1. Hi Jim, here you are the sheet I have, I'm after something good for F-105, doesn't matter if D or G, still have to buy a kit but would like to have good decals for it. If you are after some Italian F-104 just wait a couple of more moths and get the Italeri kit, it will be Hasegawa one reboxed with several cool Italian schemes inside!
  2. here you have a napalm bomb in the center line, on the G and later models the center line was not wet. baggage pod were made from same canister as used by napalm but I think it a nonsense to hang 4 live bombs and a baggage pod at the same time!
  3. best way to cover rivet I found is using typewriter fluid, the one liquid that come in a pen, just drop a small amount in each rivet, it will not retire as much as Surfacer and any excess will easily wet-sanded away.
  4. I have several (around 30) flat main gear doors from Hasegawa F-104 kits, these are good for F-104C, F-104D, CF-104, F-104J or very early F-104G. I'm looking for someone who is willing to swap for the bulged doors as used on F-104G and S. Each one pays hios own shipping cost. Please contact me if interested: paolomaglio AT gmail.com. Thanks Paolo
  5. Sorry my fault, I didn't know enough about C model to answer.
  6. Kurt , those are F-104A or C, you must check for early F-104G
  7. Thank you TobiK, actually I have just started a late Marine RF-104G but this group build is about Luftwaffe, isn't? Anyway I'm planning an early F-104G AWX from JG Molders during Summer, then I will join for sure!
  8. I would say Canada and Germany only. Never seen on Turkish or Danish Starfighters.
  9. anti-glare panels were definitely black on NMF Starfighters, a small different in shade of black was visible from the art on the radome and the part on the fuselage up to the windshield.
  10. Also note. during the late Seventies several German Starfighters were upgraded with a much smokeless engine nozzle (same as used o Italian S), on MFG2 almost all Starfighter got this modification, so search for a photo of the very F-104G you are building and check what nozzle to use, both are in the box.
  11. C'mon Mike, Diana will be 7 years old in 28 days, time to celebrate with a complete model!
  12. the only good tails for ADF were made by Cutting Edge, I used 8 of them. A few years ago a company from California was working on a new convesion set for the Tamiya kit, Michael Valdez may know more, I'm sorry I can't remember the name of that Company,
  13. Tamiya is more detailed and much easier to build, Hasegawa one has poor fitting on wing to fuselage and on lower fuselage to wings but with Hasegawa you can choose from A6M5a/b/c while with Tamiya you can choose from just two very similar variants.
  14. Detail is usually very good, fitting is also near perfect, but they usually have problems in decals (poor and wrong) and shape/accuracy/dimensions. My latest experiences was with their F-84F and SAAB J32 Lansen, both in 48 scale. For example the Lansen builds up like a Tamiya kit but has some parts from an A 32, a complete different variant! And the F-84F comes with refueling receptacles on both wings! So you need to double check your references to build a correct kit.
  15. Really well done Dragan I like it a lot, I also think all original Pakistani F-104A were in natural metal finish but, during the war with India a Squadron of Jordanian 104 was loaned to Pakistan. Can I suggest you to just add formation and position lights to this magnificent build? Just a drop of red, orange, green and silver paint ...
  16. Thank you both! I also cannot understand why Revell never did a K!
  17. this sheet is very good and gives you several extra roundels, http://www.tauromodel.it/italiano/48570.htm can ship it to USA for 12 EUROS including air mail. Please PM if interested. Cheers
  18. it existed since several years ago Hasegawa re-boxed the Monogram Sabre Dog, but is impossible to find nowadays. To finish mine I took a very old Hasegawa F-86F box that had the correct tail markings for the F-86D, then used general numbers for the serials,
  19. I have several from Tauro decals but shipping to USA is very expensive!
