  1. Kinda grounds you when you hear about this. These guys risk their lives EVERY time they go up in the air. There are no "gimmies." Regardless of what happened with the engine or airframe etc. ...it is a great tragedy. Many families have lost a loved one....very sad indeed. RIP
  2. It's a long road but the end is always worth it. It looks great so far.
  3. Incredible job in the cockpit. Looks fantastic.
  4. guys, Digging up this thread b/c I want to get a sticker made for my display base for the this wing but can't seem to find an example anywhere! Does anybody have a close-up of the wing zap? TIA!
  5. OUCH!....that hurts. Sorry to hear. Hope you can restore most of them.
  6. I paint the wings assembled. No issues whatsoever. On coat swept, then open for both top and bottom. This is on the Tamiya 1:32. The trick, with any good paint job, of course is to lay on thin coats.
  7. Nice! You can never have enough phantoms. I have another phantom in progress now...can't wait to get some paint on it.
  8. Joe, I respectfully disagree. One look at the cockpit dry fit and I was already cursing. I hadn't even tried anything from the airframe. The control panels weren't even CLOSE to fitting the cast cabin. It would have taken hours, even with skills and tools, to get that cockpit looking right and IMHO, I think that panels as such should be an easy cast and fit. I can only imagine what the rest of the kit is like to build. With that said, I will admit that if you have the time and patience, it builds into a beautiful aircraft but at this juncture, I'd recommend against it to anybody who is
  9. I would highly recommend staying away from the Hasegawa kit unless your girlfriend is going to build it for you. The fit is horrific.
  10. UKPonchoMan, Great Picture! Thanks! Efrain, I cannot see the picture in your hyperlink. johnnyMac, Great looking F-4G. A very nice example!!!! Also, Is that Tail Red White and Blue and/or Red, White and Green?
  11. Awesome. I hope that they'll be made available in 1:32?
