  1. For the gaps in the top wing sections, I got it fixed with Mr. Dissolved Putty. This stuff really works on small gaps which are noticeable to the eye but too small to be used with regular putty. I used a small brush, dipped it with Mr. Dissolved Putty (no thinning is required), then let the putty melts into the small gap with the brush. Just make sure you wipe off the excess putty right after you applied it coz this stuff dries fast.
  2. Thanks a lot people. However, I already glued the front fuselage to the main body with the intakes on. So, I guess more or less I will need to do some putty work in that area.
  3. Hi all, While I am in the process of fitting the front section of the f-15E to the main fuselage, I wonder is there anyone who are able to achieve a good fit between these two sections without the need of putty? From the build photos in ARC, I think this can be done although there wasn't a close up shot in the section right behind the canopy. No matter how I fit the front section to the main fuselage, there always a seam in between these two sections (where the vent is) and I will prefer not to use putty to avoid rescribe the details. Anyone who can help? Thanks! Jeffrey
  4. Hi all, Since I finished the 1:48 Revell Mig-25 (built OOB) half a year ago, I will like to build the 1:48 Mig-31 to park alongside with it. However, from what you guys told me, I guess I will wait for kit manufacturers like Revell or Trumpeter to do a new mold on a 1:48 Mig-31. In the mean time, I will finish my 1:48 F-15E and the new 1:48 Eurofighter from Revell. Maybe I will buy the 1:48 mig-23 (i know it's a terrible kit) just to add to my collection since it is avaliable from my local hobby store. Jeffrey
  5. Hi all, I am planning to build a 1:48 mig-31 and I know the only accurate one is from Collect Aire. Before I will purchase this kit for x'mas, is there anyone who owns the Collect Aire mig-31 kit and can comment on the kit's quality such as fit issues, transparency of the canopy and depth of the recessed panel lines? I am asking this because from what I found in this forum, there were some quality issues with Collect Aire kits and I don't want to waste $200 on a kit that I cannot build. By the way, I found some pics of the finished model which to me doesn't look too good. http://johnswe
