  1. A couple of detail side struts on the main gear broke off. I have them bagged. They are easily attached when the struts are built and they have no structural impact on the integrity of the strut itself.
  2. Selling this kit. It has a minor issue. Fully unbuilt, no paint w/ aftermarket decals. PM me for info if interested.
  3. I have the above for sale. Kit and decals in factory sealed bag. Original end flap boc with some shelf wear. $10 plus ship.
  4. There you go. Blame the USPS for your choice to live where you do. I prefer to live where there are few if any meth heads and in a neighborhood where delivery is not a concern for me. Don't blame the PO for your poor choice of locale. Maybe you should get together with the other residents to pay for a road improvement or your county roads department to do something to your road that would allow a delivery closer to the residences.
  5. Amen. I love the USPS. My letter carrier I know by name and he knows me. I won't go into when I had a special request from him and he was fantastic. Try that with a UPS person over the phone somewhere in Nashville.
  6. My brother in law used to drive for UPS. He never joined the union and made 65k/yr. However since he didn't have the protection of the union, (which he decided he did not want to do and was not required), when it came time to cut personnel, he was let go.
  7. IF, the USPS did not have to pre fund retirement and healthcare 75 years out, (thank you Congress and I won't say which party did that but I'm sure you can guess), the cost of sending packages and mail would drop so low it would put FedEx and UPS potentially out of business. Certainly in domestic delivery. The USPS has a far greater network that reaches into every neighborhood in the country. I seriously doubt the two major carriers could do that economically without having the USPS to partner with. Both private carriers use the USPS resources to deliver their packages. Why is that? They use U
  8. Sorry to hear. Your items filled a niche that other resin producers did or would not.
  9. I just used MM Russian cockpit blue green. Looks close to what the USS Hornet museum's FJ-2 has in it's cockpit.
  10. That is what I heard as well.
  11. I personally love OUR USPS. Yes, their rates go up but what costs in other business' do not? It's called inflation. Plus, OUR USPS has been saddled by Congress out of it's own revenue, to pay for retirement and health benefits for retirees 75 years out. What company does that? None. Congress when it was controlled by a certain party was doing all it could to try to force OUR USPS to be sold to private ownership. That would be a disaster for rural areas as their rates would skyrocket, not to say others as well. Besides, who says OUR USPS has to make a profit? Does the military? NASA? Any other
  12. I agree with that statement. The real seats were sort of weird as well.
  13. In the photo of the fuselage, I highlighted with pencil the panel behind the well opening. That piece used to be in front of the wheel well. You can see where I cut out the well opening itself. I moved it forward to the position where the removed panel was. I then used the removed piece to fill in behind. I reinforced the parts then with sheet plastic. Every cut was pretty much on an existing panel line.
  14. Here is the wheel well I beat on.
  15. Explain to me how I can resize them to allow posting here I would be happy to send them along. Figured it out.
  16. I have the Rus Kit resin wheels, much more accurate than the kit parts in addition to the nacelles and canopy. I have seen the SB seats. While not completely accurate they may be better than the kit's. SB looks to have more or less used the kit's seats as a basis for theirs. Not too sure that works well but I'm still a long ways off. Wait until Jeffrey does the wheel well then I may revisit them. I am unable to upload the photos because of the size limit imposed by ARC. If you give me your email addy I can send them to you and you can repost if you like.
  17. I'll try to get some photos up. It is a simple move. I determined a 9mm move forward would be just about right. I spent a long time thinking about it before cutting. I sent Jeffrey photos of what I did and it was pretty much along the same lines as to what he was thinking at the time. Now, he may make some adjustments as his research moves forward but until then I'm pretty confident what I did was pretty accurate.
  18. Just poking my nose in for those that want to build a better A-3 Skywarrior. I have already relocated the main gear wheel wells on my Trumpy A-3 forward 9mm. A pretty simple relocation. My correcting of the actual wheel well structure did not go as well as I would have hoped. Hypersonic to the rescue. I have purchased Jeffrey's replacement canopy and engine nacelles. He has been pondering doing a replacement wheel well for the Trumpy A-3, well now he is going to do one. It is however a ways off at the moment but he will do it. I'm sure it will be spectacular like the rest of his stuff.
  19. The kit is currently available via eBay.
