Anybody know if there are aftermarket C-5A Replacement Engines available? Can't find diddly. Paul
-
I'm not real picky. Just these: 1/72: 1) ACCURATE C-130J's - As many variants as you can make.....especially the lesser known ones like the EC-130J Commando Solo. THE C-130J LINE IS WAY OVERDUE....REVELL. :) 2) A retooled RC-135V Rivet Joint. WITH CORRECTED, ACCURATE WINGS. That's all for now. More later probably. Not yelling at anybody. Just making a holiday rant. LOL...

Yeah! The pinnocio nose! Thats what it needs

It's all in German...can you post on ARC?? -
Well....I'm gonna have to eat my words with these people. 4 days after I wrote them...called them and made this post on ARC, I heard from them. 5 days later I had all my stuff. They actually were very good at a good price. But they're new and they needed to communicate better hands down. I'll use them again. I was nervous at first...but ultimately not disappointed.

Manufacturer?? Beautiful build! -
Thanks Scott. I finally heard from them today...2 days after the request for my money back. One of my products has shipped. Imagine that... LOL!! This has been a ongoing discovery of how this outfit works. I only found out they were international after the fact. Here...on ARC. By then the trigger had been pulled. My CC had been charged. About having a notification tool on their website? It's called good business. If you shop online anybody can get taken for a ride easily these days. If you're an online vendor....you know people are still a little skiddish about internet orders....especially

Jack....how'd you lose it? Moving? Also....how did you do the photography? Thats pretty good too!

I've got this kit. You did and OUTSTANDING job. Beautiful plane!

B.A.R...how did you do the photography? Beautiful plane and PICS!

Also...the US side of 1001 Models is not in France. It's based in Tontitown, Arkansas. It plainly states this on their US website and that shipments are made from the US. Their customer Service number is a 617 area code. This is the area code for Boston Mass. in the US. The claim of "US order delivery" is what sold me on them. Yet...I find out from ARC that none of the claims on their website is true. I.E...it's all really international. Remind me again why we shouldn't hold them accountable...especially if they've already charged the CC?
-
Daily? Absolutely! Any online vendor that practices excellent customer service and cares about doing an honest business will have a tracking tool for orders on their website. Amazon...eBay...Revell...Squadron and GNC all have this just to name a few. At any time you can access your order and track it's progress....even if there is no progress. 1001 Models *said* you could track your order...but it (mine) never showed up on their website. Also..I had to find out through ARC that 1001 Models orders their inventory from International sources. But yet...they charged my credit card. So yes....daily
-
Well....I'm also thinking that the International thing is whats going on too. I don't have a lot of experience with International but maybe this is just the way it is. But then...I don't know these guys. They need to do a far better job communicating! Amen!? Paul
-
Thanks so much!! If I get the run around very much longer...I'll get a refund. I don't mind waiting if something is coming from overseas. They just need to keep me in the loop...as in daily! And keep tracking info on their website. Like they say they will!! I don't know these guys. They need to do a far better job communicating. Amen!? Paul

MARCH!!?? Holy crap. Thanks for the heads up. Is Lucky always like this? Or a one off situation?
-
Ah....Ok...thanks!! Good to know.

Did you ever receive your decal sheet?

Ok...I opened up a dispute about my order on PayPal. I *immediately* got a response from 1001 Models. LOL...imagine that. They simply sent me an email saying that the "order has not yet been shipped. We'll contact you when it has". LOL...ya think? I already know that. I sent them a reply telling them that they need to do a better job in communicating! We'll see what happens. Here's their email addresses. I copied & pasted both from their webiste and confirmed them on their PayPal page. The emails have not been returned. contact@1001modelkits.com contact@1001maquettes.fr Happy disputing

Ok....that's it. I'm going to contest my PayPal charges. Thanks guys!! Paul

AH HA!....just what I suspected. I'm thinking it's some type of scam. I bought an A400M for $60.00. Just a tad bit too good to be true. Thought I'd trust them though. Their website looks pretty legit. Keep me in the loop. I want to hear what happens with you. Paul

Anybody had any experience with 1001 Model Kits? Spent some money with them....no orders yet. No emails...no word. Just wondering....
-
CALL THEM AGAIN AND ASK THEM WHEN THEY'RE GOING TO DO A NEW TOOL C-130J! There...I feel better. Not yelling at anybody...just blowing off a little hopefulness...lol

Details...what was the water temp when you immersed the canopy? It couldn't have been boiling hot because that would have destroyed the canopy. How long did you let the boiled water sit (cool down) before you immersed the canopy? Great tip! Paul

Great Build! What Glow in the Dark paint did you use? Does it work well with the lights off? Thanks, Paul
