-
Awesome!! Very beautiful! Got one in the stash.

How did it turn out? Have you got any pics to post? I'm building this beast. Thanks!

The wings look pretty good. What was your secret to fixing the wing droop?

Does anybody know how to tell the difference between the old Academy blunt nose kit and the new updated kit? (without opening the box and looking in)
-
Ya know....I did a serious comparison between the 2. The Academy nose is not really a deal breaker for me. I can probably scratch build a work around. But dang if it ain't disappointing. The Has. nose rocks. Almost perfect. Depends on which is cheaper though...

Wow....that is really cool!! Only on the Internet...and ARC!! Thanks guys.

I have an odd question about the Hustler. If you look at on YouTube, you can see the nose landing gear fold forward. But when it's static on the tarmac, it definitely looks like the nose gear would fold backwards. Any insight? Paul

Great weathering job on the Black Jet! Wow. Can you share how you got such good weathering? Thanks, Paul

LOL...now this is funny stuff! For me....the Heller USCG C-130. Going on 1.5 - 2years. Say what??? For a C-130?? The build went great. But then came the outside finish. The flat white went on great...but then the Future. The Future was possessed! Problems began to mount. It orange peeled on me. It was then very, very tricky to get it to lay down right. Took forever..... Then the decals. Large....fairly thin....and old. A recipie for disaster....which it was. Finally got the decals done after great pains and sweat. Then another coat of Future. Same problem as before. PITA!!!!! Finally got it

What's your opinion of the F-4 dry transfer decals? They look good except I didn't get a good look at them online. Are all of them dry transfer? OPPS!...scratch that. I didn't scroll down far enough...LOL... Thanks, Paul

Ya know....Revell/Monogram(s) have been getting better & better over the years. That's because they do things the old fashioned way. They make changes to their older models and produce better, newer tooled models AS THEY CAN AFFORD IT. Why? So everyone can afford and enjoy this great hobby. Actually...I love the Hasagawa's and Tamiya's. They're great products. But Revellogram models are still very good models...and getting better. But the kicker for me is price. I'm 'center-right' when it comes to purity. The bottom line is fun and price. A large part my stash is good ole Revellogram....

I can settle this. I live 5 miles from the Lockheed plant where the F-22 is assembled. I see them ALLLL of the time. At the Dobbins AFB Airshow last month there was a very fresh F-22 on display from the factory. I made it a *specific* point to inspect the panel lines and compare them with the Hasagawa offering. For the LIFE of me I have no idea where Hasagawa got their idea to raise so much detail on their model. The F-22 has hardly ANY such detail on it's airframe. Hardly ANY! For me...I do modeling for looks and accuracy. But of the 2....looks is what ultimately matters. Most people are l

The easiest model I've ever put together is the Revell/Monogram SR-71. It's big....easy to assemble and easy to paint. Very forgiving. The Monogram F-117 is not far behind. Very easy. Both are all over the place for less than 20.00. Try Michaels 1st. If no luck...then go to Hobby Lobby. In BOTH cases go to the Internet and get their 40% off coupon 1st. Paul

A-6E coming out again-- Would love to see some Black Panther Decals
pminer replied to ARK HERKY LOAD's topic in Jet Modeling
Now this is good news. Love that model. Have a few in the stash. Only thing is the raised panel lines. But heck....I'm not picky. I was just glad to have an A-6 in 48th!!! -
I'm not sure what all the hullabalu is about with the C-130A anyhow. Roman nose specially. They're freakin butt ugly! Who cares if they're a true A or not....I ain't gonna buy one anyhow. Not how many other people will either.
