  1. Anybody out there have the new re-release of Revell's HH-53? If so....I'm looking for the decals for this bird. I have a couple of these in the stash from many years back, but I would LOVE to have a set of the new decals. Anybody willing to part with a set? Price negotiable. Thanks, Paul
  2. Wow...awesome! They look great. Probably buy a kit unless there's a good aftermarket sheet for the RH-53 out there. Anybody know?? Paul
  3. By the way....I saw the kit at HobbyTown yesterday. It's a great kit...have a few myself. If it has good Naval version decals in it then wow...I may get another one.... But the box art really sukd!! I mean really! What was Revell thinking??? It's a good kit but good boxart is huge in attracting kids and modelers to buy. :D Paul
  4. LOL...hilarious! I feel your pain... Paul
  5. Wow..cool. Yes..take a pic. Interested in the Naval version. How are the decals? And...where'd you get the kit? Paul
  6. Wow...great tip. I'm building that C-130 now. Haven't got to the wings yet. In many ways it's a POS...but I do like the engraved panel lines. The nose & windscreen??? Psscchh....don't get me started... Paul
  7. All I'm interested in the is warning labels. Could you scan them and send them to me in a file? I can make the decals from the file. I just want to be accurate as to what they say and how they look. I can't find any closeup pics of the real things. Email is pminer@bellsouth.net Thanks! Paul
  8. Anybody ever heard of the Projekts Model Company? Are they still in business?? They made an ALCM model at one time and I'm interested in picking up the decal sheet from it. Thanks! Paul
  9. I completely LOVE this Phantom scheme. Going to build one myself soon. Excellent job! The Viper was Ok but nothing compared to this. What manufacturer? Scale? Paul
  10. Academy rocks. They've sold me the last couple of years....
  11. Wow...AF..?...Navy?...Marines...Army?
  12. Pssssccchhh!!....you gotta be kiddin me. The Otaki 144th is bad enough. (size). No way I'm doing a 72nd...especially for over $400.00. LOL...!! Revell....Testors...you listening!?? If there's a market for a $400.00 beast..there's GOTTA be a market for a $40.00 144th injection kit. Forget where the old molds are!!! Geez. Just make a new tool like you did the C-17 for crying out loud. This is not the US Congress you know....it can't be that hard! Especially after all of the -volumes- that have been written about a new C-5 model on this site alone. No telling how many other modeling sites have w
  13. The best I could get was "...Waterslide decals with optional markings...". Soooo...I'm guessing that the "optional markings" are for the Naval version. Whoo-hoo!
  14. Wow! Saw the painting chart and markings for the Naval RH-53D on the instructions. Now that's a nice touch! Does the Decal sheet include these markings?? I've learned not to get my hopes up until I know absolutely. Thanks, Paul
  15. But the question still remains....is it an Italeri rebox? And who is the manufacturer bringing this thing out?? Never heard of them.
  16. ...But isn't that a C-130 shes driving??
  17. LOL!!!...now thats hilarious. Love it...
  18. Hey...I've had a ball reading about the W. Found out stuff I've never thought of. I've learned a lot and laughed. About research...research is what this Site is all about. But not condecention. I'm not a rivet counter....never will be. But some folks are. Fun, learning and hopefully making new friends is the whole point of Steves website. Maybe we all should try to remember that. Ya know...?
  19. Now thats cool!! Everybody look....this is the man that did his research!! Hes go my vote for the explaination of the mystery.
  20. Checked out the CH-53W on E-bay. Galaxy models?? Who the heck is that?? Never heard of them. Anyhow...it just looks like a reboxing of the CH-53D from Italeri. And a CH-53W...? It was in Navy markings. I'm thinking a -possible- one off? Maybe in service for a very short time and then converted to an Echo or something? It's hard for me to believe that a company would be so ignorant or mis-informed so as to offer (to the world for crying out loud) a product that was poorly researched and just plain -wrong-.
