Absolutely stunning build!! Can you share your weathering techniques? I think that's the best navy bird I've ever seen as far as the weathering. Paul

"Half filled almost the all panel lines"....? What's that mean? :o Gorgeous F-117!! Wow...

Geez...this place is freakin amazing. I have -never- seen so much aircraft information combined into one site. Anything you want. Amazing.... Paul

Guys, I have a problem with white paint that is yellowing. (Testor Enamel Model Master) How do you guys resolve this? Although it may be the Future....maybe not. I'm not sure. Either way, it's dam disappointing. But I really need to know the best white paint to use....acrylic or enamel. I want a hard looking finish...matt. Thanks! Paul

Yep....at Castle in 1976, we had the KC-135's with the water injected engines. Unbelievably loud and smoky. Every morning at 5:30am the base was filled with noise and smoke. Alert drills at least twice a month if not more. The BUFFS were G's....very smoky too. C-5's from Travis did touch and go's all day long. The 106's did training sorties everyday...both in the morning and afternoon. They were even louder than the KC-135's!! It was an unbelievably busy AFB. An airshow everyday. I would guess that Nellis is the only comparable base today. (for traffic) Paul

Those shots were taken from off base. The control tower should be to the left of where they were standing. That flatness is how most of the state is. Low rolling hills and depressions where people like to put their houses, if they can. It gets them at leastpartly out of the wind. WOW....Off base?? Man that is unbelievable that the AF would allow such "access". Now I've definitely gotta go and see it!! But then...if you've ever been to Nellis, you have almost as good access. The stuff you see in & out of Nellis is freaking unbelievable....pretty much all day every day. I was at Castl

You guys seen this? >>> Very cool stuff!! Were these guys outside the base??? If so...I gotta go visit Minot AFB....real soon. Paul

Thanks! Great pic! I guess the good part about this is that some have it...some don't. I'm probably going to leave mine blank. Paul

Cool! Any ideas on decal sheets? Or...could I improvise?
-
Ahh! A definite possibility. Many have it...many don't. Still..I'd like to find a decal sheet that would have that decal. Or...any other ideas? Paul

Guys, See this picture? >>> http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/Gal6...0_Aides/05.shtm I'm looking for the black decal with yellow stenciling on the steps. It's for an Italeri 1/72 C-130. Anybody know of a sheet that has this decal? Thanks! Paul

Whats the longest time its taken you to finish a model?

LOL....how bout an AMT Buff....since 1999. -
Uhhh....who is JENESIS (C-130J Nacelles)? Is he talking about Jen's version of the nacelles? If so...Jen's versions look farrr better. But who is JENESIS? Paul

Dam. Hard to decide. Gotta be the F-14D for me. If you ever saw a demonstration at an airshow...it was spectacular. A 50,000lb aircraft snapped around in the sky like a toothpick. The newer engines actually had a moan to them as it was climbing out. (full AB power...straight up) The models rock. Any of them. Paul

Great job!! Post some more pics! PAul

Holy crap you guys....Thanks for all the leads! Xtradecal has what I need. Only thing...they're across the big pond. Takes a long time to get here and it's in Brit currency, etc. But I'll probably order them anyhow. I looked on the Microscale site. They didn't have the width that I need. Actually....that was kind of weird. I'm looking for the same widths I saw on the Hannants link. >>> http://www.hannants.co.uk/search/index.php...p;setPerPage=25 Anybody know if Microscale makes the same type of sheet? I couldn't find it there. Paul

Guys, I'm looking for a sheet of decal stripes. I'm looking for different sizes, different widths and different colors. Is there such a thing? Thanks, Paul

But a guy has to dream...ya know!? Heck...I'd settle for a 72nd scale. 48th would be awesome but I'd settle for a 72nd with: - Engraved panel lines - New props - New wheels & tires - Detailed gear wells - A forward weapons bay - And yes...a great weapons store. As MLK would say....I have a dream! Paul

Yep...but how bout the new Kinetic EA-6B? With the Revell offering, you'd think that there wasn't that big of a demand for a new tooling. The Revell offering ain't too shabby you know... It seems to me that model companies are as full of dreamers as ARC is! If you'll look at the history of modeling companies they have made some of the most outlandish and even weird decisions about what they produce. To the casual business person (us) some decisions would even seem stupid! But they pressed ahead. Just about every subject that can be imagined has been produced. Sooo....you can never say never.
-
Wow...now that's cool. I never knew...
-
Yep..I hear you. But it is still a good seller with HAS. You can find them most anywhere. And...for modelers it's a classic...just like the WWII stuff. It's builds up to be a stunning model if done right.

You know...I'm psyched about the release of the Kinetic EA-6B. I'll get multiples for sure. Great releases of some great Navy planes recently. But it would be VERY nice if someone would release an updated P-3 with engraved panel lines and a good bit (more) of detail. 72nd scale is perfect but lets face it...the Hasagawa P-3 is just a little long in the tooth. Don't get me wrong....it's a freakin great kit but by today's standards it's a X286 with 1meg of memory. I.E...a dinosaur! Whatta you guys think? Paul
