  1. Hello Everyone: I have done a lot of deals with a lot of people over the internet and sadly you do get some bad apples. Ken Hawkins from Poteet, Texas burned me really bad. I was in an agreement to sell him some models and he only paid for half of them in a trade / money order deal, I tried to trust the guy, and he never paid for the rest. it was for some older model cars, the deal was done on hyperscale, but the guy from what I was told, does come here as well. use caution take care and thanks George O'Neill
  2. Hello Everyone: this may be off topic, but I want to thank a lot of the fellow modelers who got me out of my funks. I also wish to thank all of the people involved at the ARC. in 2007 a day after Christmas I lost my father, when I mentioned it here and at other model forums I am in, I got a lof of help getting through the hard times and back on track. this year was a bad year, I lost 2 of my model buddies, James Hippie Bush, and John Fisher. both of those guys were like close friends, we always chatted, kept in touch and it really helped. But I got into my funk and stayed away from all o
  3. Hello Aaron My thoughts, prayers and best wishes go out to you and your family. it is a trying time indeed, but you have to think positive, keep a clear head, help your wife thouigh this ordeal and be there for your kids, but don't burden yourself with negative thoughts. Remember you have a caring family who cares about you, and they need you just as much as you need them. I had a trying time in 2007 and the gang at ARC gave me a lot of kind words of wisdom and thought and I thank all of them for that. Just keep your head up and be there for the family. take care George O'Neill
  4. Hello Everyone: I thought I should bring this subject to light and warn all of you on here. Ebay seller Trainz, it is a hobby shop that sells mostly lionel trains, but the seller is constantly hiding behind a TCA membership and uses it for their supposed rating system, believe me this seller can't describe anything well. in June, I purchased some old WWII 1/48 scale planes, a b-17F, a C-47, and a B-24J, the seller states in the auction that all of the 1/48 scale planes were in nr mint condition and complete. So I win the auction, pay for the items, and all of a sudden when they arrive, it
  5. Hello Everyone: I wanted to warn everyone about a seller from Ontario Canada, Kellan Zimmer. I purchased some 1/87 ho scale items that were supposed to be near mint to mint condition and none of the items were. the ho scale trains were broken and missing parts. the 1/87 items were all glue bombs and junk. I live in the states and there is not a whole lot I can do, Paid with pay pal and they aren't helping at all. filed an internet fraud complaint and a police report, now I am waiting to hear from my bank, I am going over pay pal's head. the worse part is when I sent the items back as pa

  7. Ebay allows him to keep selling due to the fees, if he keeps selling, both pay pal and ebay make money off of the transactions. ebay has gone down the toilet within the last 5 years thanks to Meg Whitman, it is all about the almighty dollar now that is why they started a new power seller program, they want to force out all of the nickel and dime sellers in favor of sellers who sell in quantity, that's the whole idea of the new program that was started this year. I used to be a power seller but I quit, I am tired of the pay pal only crap, and how ebay is controlling everything now. this se
  8. This is an odd Post I did a deal with Robert a while back and he was very kind and courteous, he even went out what paints I should use. he's a thumbs up guy take care George
  9. Hello Everyone: I wanted to warn everyone about Mike Dietman from Florida. I got burned in a trade and I almost got burned in a sale with this guy. I was supposed to get some vintage model parts in a trade, but that never happened. he was sent some vintage model parts from some 60's era model kits, and he never sent anything back. I was in the process of selling some models and he wanted me to hold onto 2 of them for him, he said he was going to make up for the parts in the meantime. I waited for a month and a half, nothing but excuses and lies. he usually uses the handle blackwidow on
  10. ebay sucks anymore, but that's besides the point pay pal now covers all transactions up to 90 days, and if you still haven't received your item, contact ebay and pay pal, also contact the internet fraud agency. the internet fraud agency produces results if pay pal is sitting on their fingers.

  14. Hello Everyone: I am sorry I haven't been around much, I am still recovering from surgery, I was recently robbed by a dishonest trader, Tom Bagwell from East Otis, MA. I sold this guy some items, he pays with pay pal ( My first mistake was accepting pay pal ), he receives the items and says they are damaged, pay pal immediately asks him to send the items back, as soon as I receive the items, I notice a bunch of parts are missing and some items were switched. when I contacted pay pal, they wouldn't do squat, ( very typical of pay pal ), pay pal has my account frozen because I refuse to
  15. That's not right to have a nice piece of work taken by a thief I am in the same boat, I had built a replica of the Boot Hill Express, and some A-Hole took it, I was at the Model convetion down in Indianapolis about 8 years ago and I decided to take a few models along and enter them in the show, well while I was making the rounds, it disappeared, no one knows who did it, and the bad part, I never got it back, People who go out of their way to steal a model at a convention or a show are Pathetic and need to get a life, it's people like that who make this hobby suffer for the rest
