  3. Hi all Here is another of my recent built model Me109 G-6 (MT-422) flown by SSgt. Börje Hielm of 2/HLeLv 31, Suomen Ilmavoimat. March, 6 1948 This is the Airfix kit in 1/72: For the full work in progress follow this link: http://armouredsprue.blogspot.com.au/2014/09/wip-bf-109-g6-finnish-air-force-airfix.html I'd like to hear your opinions and comments regarding this built. 5. Very nice indeed mate! Well done! It's always a pleasure to see our Brazilian aviation being represented here. Plastiabraços Paulo
  6. Hi all This P-40E was the first received by FAB (Brazilian Air Force) as part of a Lend Lease Agreement. It was serial numbered FAB 01 (or just 01) and later FAB 4020. It is seen here in the RAF camouflage they arrived in late 1942. To see the W.I.P. for this model follow this LINK to WIP P40E FAB P-40E "01" from Grupo Monoposto-Monomotor (GMM) from Natal Air Base, Rio Grande do Norte (RN) Brazil circa 1943. The kit used was Academy in 1/72nd scale. All comments are welcome and much appreciate. Cheers Paulo
  7. Hi Like said it is very good for a return to the hobby, well done! The only thing I could see is: Better fill the gaps with model putty Use Tamya tape to mask off the clear parts and then fit these parts to the kit The tires should be really matt, they're gloss Improve decalling Please take the above items just as a critique for helping you out to improve your skills. Cheers
  8. Very nice model! I liked particularly the camo job, well done! I can feel the dust in the air! Cheers mate!
  9. Great job for such a small bird! Well done!
  10. Very cool indeed! I'm actually building the Airfix kit in 1/72 and I'll make that RAF blue camo. Thnaks for sharing with us! Cheers
  11. HI I'll be interested in one as well! Can you please let me know when available? Happy Xmas!
  12. Hi all Looking into the differences between the original Embraer version and Shorts version, and besides the more evident characteristics of the nose and the speed brake, I'be noticed that the Shorts versions has a panel on the middle of the fuselage (close to the roundel) and this doesn't exist in the Embraer version. You can see it clearly in the photos below. Can anyone help me to find what is it for in the Shorts version? Short's RH view: Embraer's RH view: Short's LH view: Embraer's LH view: Thanks in advance for your help and have a Merry Christmas all!
  13. Hi all Just wondering if anyone has used this before. If so, how does it goes? What do I use to thin it? Cheers
  14. Hi! Thanks! I used the Tamiya silver very thinned with Tamiya Thinner 20A and with a dab of future on it, then I sprayed future (3 coats). All collored parts are the kit supplied decals so if you look closely you'll find some minor wrinkles now and there! The turbo I've painted with Model Master burned exaust (? I think!) and then weathered with dry pastels no clear coat over the pastels. Cheers
  15. Hi all! Thanks for the tips! theplasticsurgeon, nice model but I would prefer the all gloss balck version! Cheers
  16. Hi Besides the identical props also is missing the pitot tube I had to make one from scratch. Cheers
