  1. Cool, I will wait a couple more days..... Ordered it on the 11th, and nothing since.
  2. Does anyone know how long it takes the books to ship? I have only received a receipt notice, but no shipping notice. Willie
  3. oh dang, yeah, that would be a good thing to include, it is 1/48th scale
  4. Thanks a ton, That is it. I will be buying there.
  5. Hello All, I am looking to see if anyone has an extra Tamiya Misubishi a6m2 wheel lying around. I Started building this plane last year, and moved last january. J ust opened the box and one wheel has fallen off and is nowhere to be found. I could make it with the landing gear up, but that would mean taking off the landing gear and somehow fixing up the panels. Let em know if anyone has something. I would love to hear from you. Willie
  6. Hello All, I am an a-10 lover and would love to get my hands on a copy of "the modern warthog". Or something like that. The book that shows the details of all the a-10s and how they look. I remember seeing it on here awhile back. Let me know if you have an extra or would want to sell me yours. Thanks Willie
  7. Hello Everybody! Just got done posting my sheet stryene plastic, and here is some of my paints. I received a bunch of pollyscale paints, and I have yet to comb through the aircraft paint for what I want, but here is a list of all of the railroad paint for sale. If anyone knows a good train forum, let me know, as I want to give these out for a real good deal. The 1oz jars are normally around $4-$5 depending where you get them from off of the internet. I know that eHobbies is selling them for 4.39 a pop right now. The 1/2oz jars are normally around $3 I will sell the larger 1oz jars for
  8. Hello Everyone!! So i got a great deal on a ton of Plastics and Paints. I have no need for almost all of the plastics, but got them in an all for low price barter through a foreclosing company. These sheets range from $4 a sheet to $10 a sheet. They are all for dioramas, scratch building, and everything else you can think of. I am not looking to make a ton of money, what I want to do is help others out to get some cheap plastic sheets. I also have tons of small strips, but have not categorized them yet. I will post them up here as soon as I am done. My polly scall paints will also make
  9. Anyone have any good tips for making the wingtip lights the correct colors? I have seen people dip them, put foil behind them, etc. What has worked best for yall -Willie-
  10. I used some artist charcoal mixed with water and a dab of windex. Usually just spread it all over half the plane and then immediately go back witha wet cotton swab and wipe away. Of course, I did preshading, and I had never done that before. As for the dirty hawg, I wanted it to be extra grimey. I know they prolly wouldn't get that dirty, but i think it looks awesome in person, the pictures seem to make all the blacks stand out more than in person. But yes, she is dirty, verry dirty. Willie
  11. Thanks for the comments. Time to start sticking on the landing gear and all those tiny little panels. Will have picks up soon for that and she is almost complete, which will be a great relief once its done. Willie
  12. I have begun building models again and decided to start with the A-10, the most beautiful plane in the world!! I don't really care about accuracy on this first build as it will be for me to test some of the procedures I have seen in my months of reading this board. I really havent taken many pictures of anything i did before assembly, but here is what I have so far. I am using the stock decals and this build is OOB. I have been working on this for almost 3 months on and off, and still have a bunch of little things to paint. I know it is not accurate, and even the decals

  14. Thanks, Ill have to try that
  15. I have been watching a lot of these builds and love all the models, but how in the heck do you guys get rid of the gaps left by closed canopies. Every model I make with a closed canopy seems to have large gap because it does not fit correctly. E.g. My a-10 I am building is great and all, but has a large gap if I were to have the canopy closed. I see a lot of finished models in the galleries that have very clean canopy seals. Do you guys have any tips on making those seals look closed? -Willie-
