  1. Admittedly my model production goes down to about zero in the summer months but now that relatives are gone and fall is rapidly approaching I've put the Bearcat on the bench. I'll be posting pics of the build in the In-progress forum.
  2. Excellent, there is an option. I also found that OZ mods makes one.
  3. Okay Reading this again I see thats the Academy canopy on the Hobby boss kit, Cybermodeler talks about the canopy shape issue. Going to pull the canopy out today to see for myself. Cheers Ray
  4. Wow. Thanks for this pic mrvark. Glad to see its fixable but that is pretty a pretty big adjustment for a fairly modern kit.
  5. I'll have a look at the flaps, that seems like the bigger issue. Thanks for the heads up
  6. I just had it out of the box tonight to go over it, obviously I don't know how the fit is but the detail looks excellent. I haven't built a Hobbyboss kit before but will be starting my first one here soon, the 1/48 F8F bearcat.
  7. If this looks like it will require to much I may choose to make this a Gulf War version.
  8. Will do, looks good in the box and I've heard its a big improvement over the Academy one but haven't seen one.
  9. After getting this F-111 it intrigued me that it flew in Vietnam which I didn't know and piqued my interest to do that version.
  10. I don't mind putting in some work. I bought Kittyhawks RF-101C knowing full well that the intakes are for a B version and will require some modification.
  11. Just Googled F-111 TPII intakes and and found the f-111.net website for modellers. Has some excellent photos of the intake differences you are talking about so right click and saved. Appreciate the help Ray
  12. Thanks Guys I'm looking into the intake differences now to see how much surgery it will need, if its just these and there are no wing or fuselage dimension changes then it sounds doable.
  13. Thanks for these. I'll do a comparison to my sprue but its looking like I should be able to make this an A.
  14. I've inherited the 1/48 Hobbyboss F-111 D/E and seeing if someone with knowledge of this kit knows if it can be back dated to an A version with what is in the box. Thanks Ray
  15. Trade with confidence with Kerry, fast, efficient and as advertised. Cheers Ray
  16. I've got two 1/32 Kits, Pacific Coasts Models Macchi 202 and Fiat G55. I haven't built either but looking in the box they look very nice for short run kits. Looking at it right now I would say the 55 looks more refined but I do like the looks of the 202.
  17. Glad to see this kit come out and I'll be getting this one for sure. I picked up a WNW Barkers Snipe at HLJ when the rumors started just in case they were true and sadly they are.
  18. 2 months and a few days for my last one from Hannants
  19. Hang in there, same thing happened to me, the second package I ordered arrived before the first one I ordered.
  20. Just received my package from HLJ today, shipped on the 15th so 10 days to BC Canada I say is pretty good.
  21. I have a package on its way from Hobby Link Japan that shipped June 19th, I get great service from them and since it ships to Vancouver first I expect that it will get to me in BC pretty fast. Totally agree on shipping costs from the US, they have gone up significantly. I really like Victory Models and others but my last shipping cost made it pretty expensive. This also affects our friends in the States and I don't blame them when they don't want to ship outside of the US because of the extra work and cost. I'm sure trades online are way down since my first trade back in the 90s.
