Its also good to see that this is yet another F-35 that will need hours of careful sanding because the RAM tape is modeled as being an inch thick.
Are we sure this isn't recycled in part? It might be 100% new tooling to Italeri...
It's a 100% Italeri's own new tooling.

I hope the kit is better than the box art, proportions and shapes look off in that depiction.
You don't build the box art.

Stephen,
Yes those are the current CH-53E tanks, as well as the last tanks flown on the MH-53J/M PAVELOW III. Those tanks would also be correct for a USMC CH-53D.
The early HH-53B, HH-53C, RH-53D tanks in 1/48th scale are still elusive, and not done by anyone I know of either 3D printed or in Resin. There are some 1/72 scale tanks out there for the early USAF drop tanks with the correct fins, but the overall size of the tank is not exactly correct but close. Over on the CH-53 reference page there is a discussion on tanks and photos of the various tanks.

This sheet has been selling very well since I enabled preorders yesterday - thanks for your interest. In the era of $200 high-resolution resin SLA 3D printers and free 3D modeling software, it is only a matter of time before somebody comes up with the struts : and if not, I will definitely sponsor its development. In the meantime, the sheet has 11 other options (5 other MH-53) that do not require backdating; and a whole set of digits to allow you to build almost any airframe.
You will need later USAF drop tanks (these look suspiciously similar to F-105 tanks) for many of the USAF options but the early tanks in the kit will work for some of them. ResKit has been releasing many CH-53 parts lately and I will contact them about the USAF tanks/pylons and the struts.
Are these the later tanks?

On the subject of the MH-53J Pave Low, I have a memory of an article in FSM where the conversion was scratchbuilt.

Very Simple, Spoiler Free Review:
Totally worth watching!!
Just remember what they say on the Fighter Pilot Podcast, "It's a movie, not a documentary."
If you loved TOPGUN, TG:M has plenty of Easter eggs, call-backs, fan service... (call it what you will). On that end, the movie delivered.
However, it also totally stands on it's own! My son - 21 year old who isn't an avgeek of any kind - tagged along mostly because I invited him. Without ever having watched the first one, he still came out of the theatre buzzing.
I second the above, if you like to nitpick stuff then avoid it but otherwise just go and enjoy it on the biggest screen possible.

What about V-22 Osprey- The Early Years with decals for some of the test and development aircraft or Super Hornet - Early years again for FSD and test?

Great to see the LN option there.

Superb pictures as always. Thanks for sharing them.

A superb A-10, a credit to all your hard work.

Leaving aside the politics of import taxes I'd like to float a couple of suggestions in 1/48
EA-3B Skywarrior decals for VQ-1 &2 as there aren't any aftermarket for the Trumpeter kit.
E-2C Hawkeye decals for VAW-127 Seabats and VAW-110 for the Kinetic kit.
A-7E Corsair II decals for VA-22 & 94 on the 1972 USS Coral Sea cruise during which they participated in the mining of Haiphong harbour.

Fantastic work.
