Very nice pictures, thanks for sharing. I think its a 152. As many others have I did my share of flight training in the 152/172. I didn't really realize this small difference until selling airplane parts on ebay (under av8n4fun) but the 150 and maybe the older 152's had a much smaller 'wingtip'.. I know cause I've sold em and had to research it. The normal wingtip is curved down at the outside end and is common to, surprisingly, the 150, 152, 172 and 182. The 150 wingtip is much smaller, not curved down at all (symmetrical) and has a ridge going down the center from front the front to the nav

Nice shot Grievous! From the picture looks like you were near Caribbean Jacks... near the foot of the Seabreeze Bridge in Daytona Beach. I was at a friends house near Beville and Nova and had a great view of it as well. You could clearly see the SRB's seperate, the dimly lit orange ends tumbling in and out of view as they flipped end over end. And then you could see the OMS burn just shortly after that. Good stuff. Here's something interesting for you tanker fans...

Yeah I've read a story on that awhile back, pretty amazing stuff. The video is definitely a dramatization though the photos, like the one I'm including, are real. I'm curious as to why the History channel included video of the F-100 while the narrator and pilot are describing the actions of the A-4. Clearly they could find video of a Skyhawk and I would think easier than to find it of the Super Saber. Ah well, never fails.

I've had that one on my computer for a while now, but it is awesome nevertheless. Sepecat Jaguar I believe.

Friday I was working in Jacksonville and on the way home I saw an E-2 doing patterns at JNAS and going thru downtown on I-95 there was an F-18 just screwing around low and moderate speed. At one point as he crossed the highway he did a quick right then left bank... as he was nearing a tower. I watched him for as long as I could, never have seen a fighter just orbiting apparently aimlessly and I thought how much fun that must be. ;)
