  1. Hello, The gunze ref Graham gave are good, as well as Nato ref from xtracrylics. You want to do a quick search on Airliners.net they have a huge selection of 2000 either C, D or N. One thing tough; if you choose to do the D model be aware that the phototetch part Eduard provides for the spine IR chaff is completely wrong in shape. Also the D is a strike bird and generally has a PDL-CT or Atlis II designation pod under the right wing, on an aditional pylon; if most of the time dedicated weapons are not carried in routine flights , the pod is most of the time here. For those who have th
  2. Hello, Well thanks a lot for the inputs ! It seems my searches were not efficient, it is now in better shape. Withe thread on fence check and here, I've already been collecting good datas. This place is really modeller's heaven ! Stef (#6)
  3. Hello, Well, now that I'm beginning to find pics, I'm very hesitant between the ghost scheme of 3 greys (not the contrasted scheme) and the 3 browns scheme. Anyway that won't be the "101" with complete sundowners tail as it is released by Hasegwa in Japan (and soon around I guess), so that will be the one everybody will do ! I'm intrested in close up of the stenciling and of the mouth, as I will have to custome made it ... (have an ALPS printer, so that will help). Also, I'm still trying to find underside views, as I take the camo is a wrap around one ... Thanks in advance for any help
  4. Dooh ! was searching with VF-111 when it is VFC-111 ... Anyway, srill interested with any intel. Thanks Stef (#6)
  5. Hello gang, Well I'm looking for pics, intel, links, whatever on the VF-111 F-5, as my googling/airliners.net-ing didn't product any results ... You see I've been getting that verrrry cheap Hasegawa 1/32 F-5 and me thik it should be nice in ghost camo, with sharkteeth and sun downing on the tail ... So any help, inputs most welcome. Thanks for reading ... cheers Stef (#6)
  6. Hey Logan That's interesting, may be we can work a deal out ? going PM to see what we can do .... Stef (#6)
  7. Hello Thanks for the head up ; I've seen that every bits was needing refinning, espec the seats etc. Well, I guess that the plasticard will be popped out ! :) Thanks Stef (#6)
  8. Hello gang, I'm a bout to begin that bird and wanted to know wether there were major flaws etc. Been finding some walk-around ... around and just think the nose is rather short, but it's probably me. Thanks for any inputs or cool detailing link. Cheers Stef (#6)
  9. Hello gang, I have an ALPS printer and my recent works do have horizontal lines every 10 milimeters or so. I tought the the printer need some cleaning so I did accordingly to the manual, clean print head and platten. But to no avail, so I take there is a scratch somewhere but can't seem to find where. Anyone had similar problem before and can help ? Thanks in advance cheers Stef (#6)
  10. Hello Rodrigo, Well the OEZ kit is not a bad kit. It has terrible fit, yes It's canopy is wrong. yes again But it was a modeling challenge, to me, at least. I'm feeling I can't progress if tackle only with Tamigawa stuff. Why I didn't use the Academy one ? Well, that Indian scheme was for a MF Mig, and the Academy so-said "MF" is rather a Bis (the rear fuselage and nose shapes are also 'strange'). So, I guess the OEZ was the only game in town. For the price, well : the kit I bought 10 euros, 5 years ago; The CMK exhaust kit wasn't very expenvie something like 20 euros, the Aires cockpit,
  11. Hello Gnets thanks a lot for the kind words, glad you like ... For Red AF : Gunze acryls, essentially; the Green is green 42, (H302 )with a tad of white beige (I call it mayonnaise) is just white tinted with yellow Brown is wood (H37) and underside is RLM 76, with a bit of white Weathering trough airbrush (post shading) and wash of sepia oil paint plus Tamiya weathering pigments Cheers Stef (#6)
  12. Hello, Glad you like the MiG; for close ups, you mean of the model, or the pics I've been usiong as reference ? If so, I've been working with two pics, found on the Bahrak rashak website, one for a MF, which colors were so saturated the beige looked orange and from a PFL which has the exact scheme of the model, and from a profile from the ACIG.org website. If it's close ups of the model, I'll have to redo some pics ... Spassiba... Dasvidania (sp ?) Na, that's you've got all my russin (except I can add Za zdrovie)
  13. Hello, really cool stuff, nice NMF finish and a cool jet. Outstanding job ... and original. Cheers Stef (#6)
  14. Hello, Thanks for the kind words gents (yes even you, Laurent !!! ) I don't know nutting about airbrake shape, but one thing I know is that I prefer the shape and general layout of the OEZ MF kit than the Academy one .... As for the pilot having difficulties in closing the canopy, well, this is the Aires seat in the aires cockpit, so I guess it is the OEZ fuselage that isn't shallow enough .... Bye for now Stef (#6)
  15. Hello, here's the old OEZ kit, enhanced with Aires cockpit and CMK exhaust (not the rear fuselage) Hope you'll enjoys, and feel free to criticize ! Cheers Stef (#6)
  16. Hello, It also happened to a french Navy Crusader, during an airshow in Belgium which took off and flew for 40 minuts with wings folded; it didn't made its demo, of course but had to circuit until allowed to land. Who said the Crouze had a weak thrust/weight ratio ?!!! Cheers Stef (#6)
  17. Hello, I'm looking for a scan or a source of the instruction sheet of 1/48 Hasegawa AV-8 B "Desert Harrier", item #09538, the one with the VMA 321 and VMA 311 scheme. I've been getting my hands on spare decals but don't have the inst sheet. Thanks in advance for any help/hint. Cheers Stef (#6)
  18. Hello, Coming along nicely ! now, where did I put that box of Italeri 1/48 F1, huuum ?
  19. Hello again, well, a matter of habit, I guess. Also, I'm not that good with blue tac/Patafix Free hand is not very complicate, providing you have a good airbrush, and more important the good dilution. I'm working with a ratio of 80/20 (80% thinner, here Tamiya - and 20% paint - here, Gunze) and a pressure of 0.8 bar (sorry, don't know that PSI). I have an Harder & Steenbeck Evolution airbrush, wit h a 0.15 needle/nozzle. I have an old Hobbycraft Skyhawk I'm using as a testbed, to practice. But sure enough your camo will be nice. Cheers Stef (#6)
  20. Holly Molly, Real nice MiG, I say again ... Cheers Stef (#6)
  21. hello Cemical, that's coming along nicely, your inst panel is really cool ! I see that the Tamiya kit is also fighting back, as did the Italeri one Can't wait to see it painted Cheers Stef (#6)
  22. Hello guys, thanks a lot for the kind words ... I'm glad you liked it; I'm finishing an OEZ MiG 21 and will get straight on the AV-8, next entry for this GB ... Meanwhile, I've been ordering a Kinetic F-84, so I might experiment a little dispersion ... cheers Stef (#6)
  23. Hello there lovely done cats ... nice paint, subbtle weathering what's next ? cheers stef (#6)
  24. Thanks for the nice words, guys regarding the landing gear hydro lines, I didn't used the eduard PE parts, I made these out of 0.3mm nylon thread, the kind my wife use to make pearls necklaces .... :o Regarding the chaff/flares launchers, I don't get your question, exactly. If your talking about the black/smoky effect, I did mine with a wash of oil paint (color sepia) highly diluted with lighter fluid ... if I can help further, juste let me know ... cheers Stef (#6) Now, i'm going to consider that Harrier ...
