  1. My first scan of the new year and it's not a Tomcat, it's a Viper! http://www.airfighters.com/photo/89691/M/USA-Air-Force/General-Dynamics-F-16A-ADF-Fighting-Falcon/81-0805/
  2. When I thought I had caught it here, I contacted Steve immediately. I also caught one from the Huffington Post's login screen. After reading all the similar stories here, I have concluded I may have caught the virus here. As I stated in an earlier post, the virus was proceeded by an Exploit.drop.2 Trojan Horse. My malware caught it immediately but apparently not before it deposited an executable file named sfg.exe. This file ran the Windows Security Scan scam/virus. I could stop it from running by closing it out in Task Manager. But it returned every time the computer was rebooted, plus
  3. I agree. But it only effects my win XP machine not the ones I have running win 7.
  4. I think shows like TOM should move away from DOD support. Remember how the DOD left TOM high and dry in 2011 when they pulled their Hornet support. TOM 2011

  6. Do you need a shot of a VFA-34 Legacy Hornet? I shot them in 2011, not too long ago.
  7. This is exactly what I experienced after cleaning my machine. My google and bing searches directed somewhere other than where I wanted to go.
  8. I sent a message to Steve but he gave the site the all clear so I looked elsewhere and came to the conclusion the virus was coming from the Huffington Post Login screen. After reading all these similar accounts, now I wonder if it really did come from here. It only infected my machines running XP, not Win7.
  9. I too got the Windows Security Virus. I too thought it came from here. First it downloaded the Exploit.drop.2 Trojan which installed an executable file named sfg.exe. It took a while to capture and delete manually and when I did, my registry was screwed up. All around the same time as the rest of you.
  10. I picked a couple of nice display cases from stores that were going out of business. Paid $50.00 a piece and they work out great.
  11. I'll look in my analog archives and scan any that might help. But it may take a couple days. Things are quite hectic for me right now. Cheers, Dave
  12. A VFA-106 Super Hornet on loan to NATC. http://www.airfighters.com/photo/88928/M/USA-Navy/Boeing-F-A-18F-Super-Hornet/166812/ Click on the BuNo below the image to see the same jet in 2010.
  13. Try here. If not in my album, then search the entire site. Simply type CF-18 in the search engine box. http://www.airfighters.com/photoalbums.php?albumid=400 Found these in less than a minute on airfighters.com http://www.airfighters.com/photo/21091/M/Canada-Air-Force/McDonnell-Douglas-CF-188A-Hornet-CF-18A/188749/ http://www.airfighters.com/photo/17472/M/Canada-Air-Force/McDonnell-Douglas-CF-188A-Hornet-CF-18A/188767/

  15. Thanks. I was in town for a family Christmas Party and thought, what the heck, think I'll wander over to the NJ Guard Ramp in AC. Worked out nice. Wasn't even aware of the record setting flight.
  16. A new world speed record over a closed course was set by this F-106B on 17 December 1983. The Delta Dart averaged 710 mph between Wright Patterson AFB, OH and Kitty Hawk, NC. The 461 nautical miles were flown in 44 minutes and 45 seconds. The flight was made to commemorate the Wright Brothers first flight. The crew consisted of Maj. Maurice C. Eldredge and Lt. Jeffrey Thomas of the 177th FIW, New Jersey Air National Guard. I, your faithful scribe was there to record the event. http://www.airfighters.com/photo/88731/M/USA-Air-Force/Convair-F-106B-Delta-Dart-8/59-0149/ You can't see it, but th
  17. Still mining and gleaning from the Tomcat digital archives. I just found this gem the other day. Love the way the light fell on it as it was taking off on one of its final sorties. Tomcats Forever, Dave http://www.airfighters.com/photo/88636/M/USA-Navy/Grumman-F-14D-Tomcat/164603/
  18. Gregg, I hear the story line involves Maverick as an ANG tanker pilot who disobeys orders and flies into enemy territory so a squadron of Hornets can stay airborne for more than two hours hence completing their mission.
  19. Well, since they will have no choice but to use Hornets, may I suggest this as the theme song for the movie?
  20. My apologies to the Tomcat fanatics out there. No time this year to produce Tomcat Calendars. Too busy chasing CONA aircraft all year. I did manage to cobble together this air show calendar depicting images from the 2011 show season. http://www.ebay.com/itm/270868920491?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649
