What time frame you looking for? I did a walk-around following their last Tomcat Cruz. Took some TARPS shots that show the underside. Plus a formation flypast. Tomcats Forever, David F. Brown

Blue Angels on the chopping block????

Right on the mark and so true. The feds will not even start an investigation unless the amount of fraud is in excess of $3om. -

So true. Quite frankly, I am sick and tired of seeing our war fighters forced to work part time at McDonalds in order to make ends meet. Enough already. -

So, the displays cost about $37m a year. I recently read a Wall Street Journal article involving two doctors investigated by the WSJ for medicare fraud. These two doctors stole $65M from medicare. Times that by at least one thousand and it will equal a fraction of the medicare fraud in the USA. If they want to recoup some taxpayers money, then go after government fraud. Here's an alternative - This is my image and in line for consideration hence the cut and paste. -

As long as people keep buying slides, I'll keep shooting slides.

U.S. To Buy Decommissioned British Harrier Jets
Sig Saur & Son replied to FAR148's topic in General Discussion
I don't have the specific stats on each F/A-18D like I do for the Tomcat, but I would venture to say that most D's have been catapulted from carrier decks. They do cycle through the east and west coast RAGs. But I am certain they have far fewer cat shots than the other legacy Hornets. -
Euro! I captured one arriving at the London Air Show. Think it was the Wing King.

If I were writing the screenplay, Maverick would be working as a pilot for a private contractor flying rubber dog poop out of Hong Kong. His contractor is called to provide aerial refueling during a combat mission. Maverick pushes his 707 into enemy territory to save a squadron of fuel starved Hornets trying to complete a 1.5 hour combat mission. I know I can't write the screenplay but maybe I can suggest the theme song. Click the link to listen.

That's a big settlement. Unfortunately, Micheal's won't be paying it, their customers will.

And the Eagles, they have a 'Dream Team'. Every team in the NFL dreams of playing the Eagles.

Obesity is the one reason Socialized Medicine will fail in America. We Americans are fatter than any other country on the planet. When I got fat, I started to suffer from a host of medical problems costing me and my insurers thousands of dollars annually. After losing 140lbs and getting back into shape via diet and exercise, all of my health problems have vanished. In fact, for the first time in my life, I am Asthma free. I used to spend $70.00 a month co-pay for my Rescue Inhaler. I just purchased my second one in three years. Do the math. That's a lot of F-14 kits. Taxing fatty food

Yes, front and back pits. I never got to the Grove before the Navy took that one back.

I'll have to check.

Jeff, great shots. I still want them for the book. As Jeff was covering the south end of the ramp, I was covering the north end. I was sad to see the Tomcat go. At least she went out at the top of her game as the most potent aerial platform in the fleet. Even today, there is nothing in fleet service capable of flying as far, as fast while hauling the same payload. Note the derelict Tomcats in the Oceana Boneyard awaiting SARDIP As soon as this image was exposed, I was on the phone to Long Island telling my photographer there she was inbound.

Yeah, it was a real shame they could not pull out two Super Hornets for display at a Super Hornet Base. I even pulled out my wallet and offered to pay for the diesel fuel used by the tow tractor to tow them the one tenth of a mile past base ops I know there were a lot of people ****** off about this, many of them base personnel. So far, IMHO, the best CoNA show was at Air Venture, Oshkosh, this year.
