Monday, 2x Hasegawa 1/72 F14A Atlantic Fleet Squadron Tomcats and a 1/12 Honda NSR500. Today, feeling a little spendy, so i picked up wait for it ...... Tamiya 1/32 F16CJ, if you don't have one already - GET ONE NOW. This is the one of the best engineered kits i have ever seen. I scared to start it. regards -
A Monogram 1/48 AH-1S from an E-bay purchase.

That front canopy is looking much better too Patrick. The metal look is fantastic, usually people (myself included) add too much blue. Have you got a big enough shelf for this one? Kind regards Bryan

Hey, Chris, i ain't finished yet - gimme a chance ;) I sorta work in a weird way. I've still got loads to do, i'm just glad that i've sorted it to this level. FTR i still have to add: Pitots Gear Doors Tailhook Missile Hardpoints Phoenix's, winders and other ordnance. After all this i've got to finish the leading edges, slime lights gear door edges and the various light that adorn this puppy. Oh and the chin pod B) regards May do that Steve, i made a mess of this before and was quite annoyed by it, having taken some time and not rushed it, i think i've done not too bad. Thanks
-
I nearly trashed this thing. I made a couple of big mistakes which meant re-doing the whole thing. Anyway i'ts nearly done, just some bits to finish with paint and then the gear doors. I still have'nt found that chin pod yet though regards

Entry withdrawn, cheers Bryan

It's been a while but here it is with some paint on. I'll do the nose in radome tan next and then slap on some future. Leading edges get done in silver. Then decals and weathering, hope you like.
-
Cool, thanks for that. Looks like i'll be stocking up. regards
-
Hair, it's thin enough and looks correct for scale. regards
-
Good luck, that's a lot of work and you've made it look easy. Hope you get a decent result

Get a can of WD-40, remove the little pipe and the WD-40 nozzle, put it on your spray can. Get your jar/bottle and place a piece of paper/tissue over the top, secure with elastic band and pierce with the WD-40 pipe. Spray to your hearts content. Clean and easy, and you can clean the WD-40 nozzle afterwards. Picked this up from FSM

Jarrod, we got until June. Let the build begin. Nice choice too. regards

Humm which one to start first?
Bryan replied to Don's topic in The 2005 ARC/ScaleAIR Tomcat Group Build
I agree with you Don, swordsmen first. A nice choice. regards -
Thanks guys, next up something to shoot at people with. I got a little distracted when i was looking at the kit missiles and broke out the Hasegawa Aim-54's, i also tried to busy up the Monogram Aim-9's with some seeker heads. I was thinking about making the Aim-9's Inert just to add some more colour. Here's an in progress of both missiles.

<_< That's looking good Mario. Nice work. regards

48th Skii, the macro setting on the camera does a good job of focusing on the nearest object and making it look tiny. regards

As the title says in progress, seats done in my usual colour, i hate that weak green colour so sand they be. This is a Revellogram F14-A so i suppose it looks not too bad, should do after about two hours work (not counting seats) Seats will get some decals on the left side and a bit more pipework. And i'll also paint the front belts regards

I had a look at my stash earlier, i have this one with decals for "The Marauders" and "Bleau Blazers" Stumbled across it in a sale two years ago. Check the price !!!!

Hasegawa & Monogram 1/48th cockpits
Bryan replied to Ishthe47guy's topic in The 2005 ARC/ScaleAIR Tomcat Group Build
Short of building time or not, these are looking good Chris. I've got the Same Monogram A kit, hope mines turn out as good as yours. regards -
These markings are for assembly ships, B24's that had flown missions and returned badly damaged. They were patched up and painted in vivid colours and lit up like christmas trees. The lights and colours allowed the bomber fleet to get into the correct formation for each squadron. This is one of my favourites.

Wishful thinking guys  , yes mungo it's the 1/72 Academy Kit. regards

Could'nt have picked a more beautiful aircraft to build. The A7 has just the right look and stance, which kit is it and what markings? regards

This has taken a while (over two years now) mainly because i thought i had stuffed up the build. It's a bit dark but here is the practice layout for the yellow & red roundels which cover the plane. These will be printed on white decal stock and trimmed to size. I've been doing trial & error and this is the best i could come up with. Next decal will be the nose art which i have in a basic form.
