  1. The crystal clear acrylic is a super way to "fly" your AC. very good idea. Looking forward to seeing more of your progress. ps Those special blue unit markings, on your model, must have been hard to copy
  2. Peter Congratulations on the very good work. Welcome to the ARC. Please share your future efforts- they are inspiring to we who are learning the art of modeling.
  3. Your right. The color is not as important -this time- as the talent you showed, in the detailing of the cockpit, which is very good. :) besides whos the say a pilot at some remote air strip didn't have his mechanic repaint his plane cause he was tired of the same ol german gray :) :)
  4. Barns & Noble have used copies only, if your interested differant cover from UK edition http://search.barnesandnoble.com/used/prod...N=9780760722749
  5. like alot of good ideas, simple and functional--NICE :D Bet the bear is a big help with setups too :D
  6. May get you started :D THE P-51 And P47 share same plumbing -hangers
  7. Nicely said sir. The truth lies where it is found- for each of us.
  8. Ill agree that this should be pinned. we are always trying to figure out what color to use
  9. No, why? do you? do you? do you? do you??
  10. Phil Just found your post today and after reading the whole series and seeing how you've documented your project, let me congratulate you on a fantastic job. As a returning modeler (after a 40+ year "hiatus") to find your work is inspiring and overwhelming-in a good way. Many thanks for the views and explanations to date. ;) p.s. I did notice one of the leads in the radio was reversed- but if your not going to apply power to it, I suppose it wont matter too much –
  11. moeggo I would agree that the paint, at least fwd of the cockpit, would not be glossy, as it was covering/replacing the factory anti-glare coating
  12. This site shows various uniform- equiptment combinations warn by bomber crews maybe it will help?? http://www.303rdbg.com/uniforms-gear4.html Best of luck with your project BB
  13. :) just a 2 cent observation It looks to me as if the "pipe" in question is facing toward the camera (taking the picture)- if true then the direction of its open end would be pointing outboard toward the aft edge of the wing, not downward and slightly forward at the water.- but then, I 'm often confused, SIGH Good luck on the project sounds like a winner BB
  14. Chriss LOL :) yeah I figured your efforts were betrayed by the systems automatic justification, so I just copied yours -using the computer between my ears- and spread out the lines like I thought you meant. Again many thanks for your help; hope I can return the favor some day.
