  1. I also have this kit. I'll be following closely to get some tips how to do the pin striping! Derek
  2. They're looking terrific!!! That's going to be a very tough act to follow when I get round to starting mine! Derek
  3. If you do need something quite quickly and it's marked "available" call or e-mail Lucky and they will tell you when the item is expected to be in stock again.
  4. Terrible news!! My condolences to Frantisek's family and prayers for Petr's full recovery. Derek
  5. Thanks for all the tips. I'll dig out some old bits and give them a try. ChippyWho those wheel wells are incredible!! Thanks again, Derek
  6. I have tried several times to paint raised pipe lines moulded on wheel wells whether plastic or resin with a notable lack of success. I usually just get a blob of paint covering the pipes and the floor (roof?) they are attached to. Seeing the beautifully painted lines on some build threads on ARC only makes it more frustrating. Please - how is this done properly????? Derek
  7. I am looking for an A-7 kit and looking through the offerings on eBay see that there is one kit marked as an A-7E and another as an A-7D/E. What is the difference between them if any? What version (and which boxing) would be best for a Greek A-7?
  8. If you are going to use the Aires cockpit BEWARE!! It is a b__ch to get to fit and when you do, the electronic boxes moulded in don't line up with the panel covers shown on the fuselage. In short, check well before opening up the panels. Derek
  9. The wings and tail are now attached and I think it is now time to start painting. The red "measels" spots on the plane are where I had to touch up the seam filling and was too lazy to get out the airbrush just for those.
  10. I,m working on an Italeri kit now and on the last page of the instructions there is a little form you can clip out and send to them if there are any defects in the kit. The address is: ITALERI SpA Via Pradazzo, 6/B 40012 - Calderara di Reno (BO) ITALY Fax: +39-51-726459
  11. If you send me a PM or email (derek@barsuk.co.il) with the diameters you need I'll look to see if I have some that match. Regards, Derek
  12. Go into the "classifed" section of the Forum and post there. Maybe someone will have a partial sheet to share.
  13. Some progress at last! How I envy those who can complete kit over a week-end and have it look perfect. Anyway, after the last post I got the cockpit and the nose wheel well located in the one fuselage half and the intake assembleds. This is not the order shown in the instructions but I saw this way described in a forum post or review somewhere and it allows for easier filling of the intake seams. This week-end I managed to get the fuselage halves joined and the rudder added. Gunze Mr. surfacer 500 filled the seams and some have been sanded. Jobs for next week-end are to complete the s
  14. L/F a Hasegawa 1/48th F-86F-40 sabre kit.
  15. Thanks Neo!! As you can see it worked. The thing was driving me crazy yesterday! Derek
  16. I was trying to change the color of the text on my signature and nothing I tried worked. I tried the "help" section and followed the instructions exactly and instead of the color changing the instructions I typed appeared as if they were part of the text (see how it appears in this post). What am I doing wrong??? Help please!!! (Yes, I know the picture is too large. When I get the text right I'll change it for a smaller one with a better aspect ratio.)
  17. I have the kit and won't be using the tanks. Will check when I get home this evening but meanwhile send me your address via pm or to e-mail: derek@barsuk.co.il Regards, Derek
  18. Here are the results of the first two steps I posted coming together. The cockpit is now complete and ready for insertion into the fuselage (a job for next week-end).
  19. Try Hobby Link Japan. I think they run a service for getting spares. Derek
  20. Looking very good so far!! How do you manage to get ahead so quickly? I managed to find a boxing of the conversion from HPM model store in Singapore (https://www.hpmhobbies.com)so I'll be watching your build carefully to pick up tips. The various boxings have the same plastic but different decals as I understand. Derek
  21. Do you know whether the high planes conversion set is still available anywhere? Regards, Derek
  22. I finally managed to move ahead a bit! The seats are completed and ready for insertion into the cockpit. Here are some pictures of the seats "dressed up" in p/e. I hope to have the whole cockpit finished over the week-end.
  23. Tried to send an e-mail and it came back saying the address is incorrect. Are you sure it should not be info@tuttostoria.co.it or info@tuttostoria.com.it? Regards, Derek
