  1. Brian, The last time I was there (two years ago) we took the "back roads" to get there because of construction on I-70 (at that time). I-70 East would be your best bet, especially if you are staying on the East side. The tarmak was open for walk arounds to view the aricraft, real easy access to most of them. Of course the T-birds will be out at the Indianapolis Intl Airport until show time so you will not see them before the show. (I saw them today at the airport while taxi-ing past their parking/display area at the Post Office air hub) Real clean jets parked real smartly....anyway. As
  2. Thank you all for the suggestions. Looks like I'll clean them up and store upsidedown! enjoy your holidays.
  3. I have tried the Pepsi caps before and they have a tendancy to leak...
  4. My modeling room will soon become a nursury for our first born. With precious space available I will be forced to store my current collection of Model Master Paints (Acrylic) for who know's how long. My question is, how do I keep them from drying out? Should I store the bottles in zip-loc bags for long term storage or is there a simpler, less expensive way to store the paints so they will not dry out? thanks <_<
  5. I have one and you can hardly hear it running. I would advise you to get a moisture trap from micro-mark or someplace like that. I also would not recommend painting your family car with it, but for modeling projects it's very affordable and pretty reliable.
  6. Duh...forgot about that google feature. thanks. I just wanted those steps for "just in case"
  7. havoc, that website is in french....is there a english translation?
  8. Thanks for the insite Brocky. White vinegar is something I never would have thought of.
  9. I just purchased my first batch of white metal aftermarket accessories and I noticed that there is a lot of "flash" on them. Two questions: First ,what do you use to remove the "flash"? Second, do you prime white metal before painting? Thanks for any advice.
  10. Thanks for the advice Barney.
  11. help, I painted my latest project last week and have let it dry for the past week. I noticed that there are several "runs" on the surface from overspraying the paint. My question is this, is wet sanding the best way to remove these drips? I'm concerned about removing too much when sanding the excess paint from the surface.
  12. Thanks Beau. I do have an inline moisture trap on order but not a regulator. Thanks for the advice.
  13. I think I gotta really good deal on a Aztek air brush and a Testers Blue mini air compressor. Has anyone used a Blue mini before? Is it any good? Did I waste my money??
  14. I recently purcahsed one of the Testers "Blue Mini", however I have not used it yet. have any of you guy's used one or know of anybody who has?? any good? bad?
  15. I read somewhere that you can practice airbrushing techniques by substituting writing ink for paint. Has anyone tried this before? If so, what type of ink was used? India, acrylic???
