  1. Glad you reminded me - I assumed it was MEANT to be that long!! I'm going to use one of the Xtradecal sheets for the stencils - mainly because I have 3 in stock...
  2. Like these you mean??? Both of these were built using available markings - the colorful bits were masked and sprayed...
  3. And with Diego's (Hi-Decal Line) decals (sheet 72-055) applied. These are really nice - they're extremely thin and went on well with only a little decal setting solution. Next step will be to add the stencils...
  4. Ok... Varnished and ready for decals (this is using Polly Scale Gloss Varnish...
  5. Thanks very much guys - I'll be able to get on now! Jake/Scott - do you think FS36495 is OK for the light grey? It seemed a pretty close match to the FS36628 on my copy of FS-595b...
  6. Thanks Mark! Glad you remembered - if you get any more pics of that crash tender (and the pickup and SUV next to it!) they'd be much appreciated!
  7. I have tidied up the light grey, but the rest is on hold until I confirm the FS# for the medium grey. Will post a couple more pics maybe tomorrow. I also have all the pics in a gallery on our SIG website - http://www.usaf-sig.org/Resources/Builds%2...0St%20Clair.htm
  8. Guys - thanks for clarifying this - I thought I'd missed something here... I've replicated the lewnmower blades on mine using the Orion vinyl but that sheet unfortunately doesn't include the wing plates...
  9. No - I tend to acquire sheets in other scales if the instructions are worth having. The Afterburner instructions are usually excellent - I already have their existing sheet for the Nellis Aggressors.
  10. Well, I have tidied up the light grey and will finish off the medium grey and black once I get my Afterburner and Two Bobs decals...
  11. jmel - can you jump in here? My understanding was that the block 30/32 had the lawnmower blades only and that the block 40/42 had the full 10 plates?
  12. Something tells me Mark will have his finished before mine!
  13. Yup - marked out with pencil and then sprayed straight on. I don't have the patience for masking - it's bad enough having to mask exhausts and cockpits! I sprayed a coat of clear earlier so will hopefully be able to get on with decalling tomorrow night.
  14. Only a little... I was away from home most of the weekend so didn't get much done. What I have achieved tonight is to tidy up the light grey a little...
  15. That's the 'D I'm also working on... http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....howtopic=150918
  16. Ah... will go do a search now! Haven't seen many MV lenses for some time to be honest... Thanks for the advice, guys!
  17. Are these still available? And does anyone know where I can purchase them in the UK?
  18. Interesting... what paint did you use Ted?
  19. Right, some progress... Primer coat is on and I'm about to spray the light grey (FS36622)
  20. Mark S - weren't you planning to do us an updated article on this? Would be VERY useful right now given that some of us have Revell F-22's ready for paint!! However - could you have a think about alternative paints - here in the UK we can't get Modelmaster paints....
  21. Thanks for the update Jake - be very interesting to see how TB and Afterburner compare... I will get around to ordering direct at some point - it is how I acquired your last two books but for some reason I didn't order the A-10 book when it came out...
  22. And HOW soon can we pre-order? I've got your 2 current F-16 books - haven't seen the A-10 book anywhere in the UK yet... Regarding the paint, I'm really not sure... Will be interesting to see if Afterburner and Two Bobs agree on the colors! I've not actually used black either- but Revell's no.8 which is more like anthracite...
  23. Jake - no offense taken at all!! I want to get this right, so I'm putting it on hold for a few days. I've ordered both the Two Bobs and Afterburner sheets so I can make a decision then... to be honest Neutral Grey makes more sense to me that Dark Gull Grey... I got most of the black painted lasty night , but need to go back and clean up overspray, so repainting the grey isn't a major problem for me... When are we likely to see your 18th AS pics??
