  1. I have both the Monogram B-24D and the B-24J in 1/48 scale. The instructions on either one are not clear as to weather the nose gear doors retract up into the fuselage or are on the outside of the fuselage when the nose gear is down. I have two of the Squadron Signal B-24 books but didn't see anything about this. I have two questions. Does the B-24D nose gear go on the outside or inside? Does the B-24J nose gear go on the outside or inside? Thank You in advance.

  9. Probably a dumb question but here it is. Jets that are supposed to be all weather interceptors or fighter bombers don't appear to have the black rubber deicing boots. How do they deice their wings and flying surfaces ?
  10. May I suggest the following Martin B-57B Canberra decal scheme? In Warpaint #45 B-57 Canberra. On pages 8 and 11, I saw a profile and photos of the "Black Knights" display team based in Laon France from the 38th TBG. The B-57Bs were in gloss black with orange scallops on tail, nose, stabilizers and wings. I thought they were cool if you want to see them.

  12. I have the Hasegawa 1/48 SBD-4 and the Academy SBD-5. both have control sticks, and rudder pedals in both front and rear cockpits. Since both have them. I am assuming they are accurate. This is new to me, I never knew they were set up like that.
  13. If I remember correctly all CA police vehicles by law had steady red front facing lights and alternating rear amber lights at that time.

  15. Here is what the lights were. Red, both sides, steady burning facing front. Amber, both sides, alternating flashing facing rear. During that time period the amber lights were almost orange/red, not like they are today which is yellow. You had to be really close because from a distance they almost looked red.

Streaming red, white and blue smoke, really low. Below is the information you need.   25. I would buy at least one set in 1/48 scale. I have several ESCI Bell Jet Rangers. Nice model. The hard part is getting other decals, specifically law enforcement and fire/EMS.
