  1. Maybe the need for the OAT gauge in VN was deleted. It would have only had two readings anyway..... HOT & DAMN HOT. My personal view only but recessed rivets are perfectly acceptable in this scale and will do nothing to diminish the finished model. I think KH got this right and will suit the majority of builders techniques. As others have pointed out there are some clever aspects of this kit. Looking forward to seeing the full sprues and options in the box. Kudos to KH for trying to get this right by us.
  2. I think I see where you are pointing at here. Keep in mind guys that the person putting this together is probably doing so with incomplete or no instructions. When I go back to the cads I wonder if the parts are ok just not assembled correctly?
  3. Following along with interest. Usually too much in awe to comment.
  4. Sweet !. I am certain a few will be coming to my place.... I love the one piece windscreen & upper windows.
  5. Sweet job on the MiG. A lot of hard work and it shows.
  6. Sorry to say but I perfectly understand AMK's position. Sounds like someone has to go cap in hand to their own factory and beg for production time - a purely commercial decision. I love the F-14 and always have. Do I love it enough to take a leap of faith with 4,999 of my friends and wait 7 months to see if it pays off ? - not on your life mate! Sorry but with two Tammy F-14s in the stash cupboard I'll take my chances if and when the kit is made - a purely commercial decision also. AMK - all your chest beating about quality, options and so on means diddly
  7. Good work Floyd , thanks for the update. I think an all in one early/late boxing is a good move.
  8. Fingerprint is way out of scale but otherwise good.
  9. Excellent paint job. Cool scheme.
  10. Well as a 1/48th guy I'm happy as a pig in shoot as they say. Sorry for the 1/35 crowd but the marketing intel must be coming from somewhere to suggest the 1/48 is a safer bet to kick them off. FWIW I did a poll on here last year about your favourite scale for helos. 1/48 was a solid winner but most of the comments were left by either 1/35 or 1/72 guys. Curious. Anyway unless this kit is a complete clusterf*ck then I will be getting a few and doing my bit. Floyd does this mean you might consider resizing your follow on decal sheets to 1/48th ?
  11. Not bad there Devo. You're doing ok with that hairy stick.
  12. Well done great build and finish. Shame that all 5 wheels don't touch the ground but that does not take away from your fine work. Congrats Slee.
  13. Yes but you are in the finest of knucklehead company right here in the helo forum!
  14. Did you know there is a Helo GB on right now on here? Why wait?
  15. I would love to do some 70's RAAF schemes. Don't see too many of those. 5 Squadron RAAF Fairbairn 9 Squadron RAAF Bushranger - Amberley RAAF SAR detachment Butterworth Malaysia Or a KIWI RNZAF late scheme.
  16. Looks like a great effect you created. Nice clean build.
  17. I know it makes the 1/35 guys bummed, but us 1/48 modellers will be happy. I'll certainly take a few.
  18. Beautiful work O. I agree that the Werners Wings stuff is great.
  19. Looking good there pardner. Reading Sharkey Wards book right now.
