  1. You are a hero building those resin kits!
  2. According to http://www.gonavy.jp/CVW5-NF2003.html it was indeed 164979.
  3. I have no idea. The examples I saw were all in museums.
  4. Vietnamese MiG-21s have stencilling in Vietnamese.
  5. Last week F-22A, yesterday F-35A so different jets but both Eglin-based. No news about what caused the mishaps until the investigation has been finished I suppose.
  6. Crashed while landing at 21.30 local time Tuesday. Pilot of the 58thFS ejected and stable. Second Eglin crash within 5 days!
  7. Correct, still without the pizza box.
  8. 165536 is apparently the first one painted (ex-VX-31 boss bird).
  9. May she rest in peace. Hope the other five will be found alive soon. But realistically; it doesn't look good 😢
  10. Might help if you add the scale you are looking for.
  11. That's something you don't see every day! Nicely done.
  12. Hoping this will soon hit the shelves. If done right by Wolfpack this will be a popular kit I suppose. With the announcement of a new tool Phantom by FineMolds earlier I think the 1/72 builders had quite an exciting week!!
  13. They are rumoured to fly them into 2021 so that might come next year. As a matter of coincidence; Hyakuri's 301 squadron revealed another specially coloured Phantom today! The squadron now has two specials flying around.
  14. I've ordered from https://www.1999.co.jp/eng before and no complaints. But still hoping I'll be able to visit Japan again this fall and pick one up in person.....
  15. After their gorgeous F-14 Tomcat, FineMolds will release the mighty Phantom in 1/72 this summer. Two variants scheduled sofar, both Japanese Air Self Defense Force: Boxing FP38: F-4EJ Boxing FP39: F-4EJ Kai The upgraded Kai version has RWR blobs on the vertical fin and wingtips as well as an upgraded cockpit. A new JASDF weapons set will be released also. Will they release other Phantom variants???
  16. George AFB is known nowadays as Victorville logistics airport and just a stone throw away from Barstow. I think they were an F-4G only wing early nineties (3 squadrons) but not sure. I wish I could go back in time and visit the place! It might also have been RF-4s from El Toro on their way to the low flying routes in the national parks further north. On top of that: Mojave was the place were (R)F-4s were converted to drones so also a hive of F-4 activity and a mere 5 minutes flying from Barstow.... Bottom line: you'll probably never find out the
  17. Very nicely done. I think she could be a little dirtier.
