    T-28 Reissue

Thanks for the heads-up David. I really hope he does a cockpit and -C conversion.

    T-28 Reissue

With the T-28 being reissued, do you think we will see a resin cockpit for it? I know the BB pit is long out of production. So hopefully someone will come out for a pit for one, or maybe a conversion to turn it into a C. Anyone heard anything?
  3. Well while masking my Skyraider, I knocked one of the cannon barrels off. I saw exactly where it landed, but could not find it in the two seconds it took me to put the plane down and get down on all fours and look where it landed. Boy the carpet monster is quick!!!(Mind you the carpet very low pile) So, I'm going to replace the barrels with brass tube and was wondering what diameter tubing I should get for 1/48. Thanks for the help. Richard
  4. Last month I picked up the Tri-Master Ta-152C-0 for $15.00, it was openned and the engine glued together. I think it is worth a heck of a lot more than that. Could have sworn I've seen them on Evil Bay going for at least $45.00, probably more.
  5. Thanks, that is what I figured.
  6. Does anyone know if there were ever decals made to do the US Customs OV-1C Mohawk in 1/48 scale? Thanks for the help.
  7. Hey Harold, I definitely would be interested in a Pogo up grade set. Always thought that was a neat bird. Also, how about a T-28C cockpit(BB is nearly impossible to find) and how about a P-61 cowl set(so you can have both sets of cowl flaps open).

    A-10C

Has anyone heard of any info on an A-10C update being worked on? Just want to see if anybody has one in the works in 1/48.

    P-51

Happened to go by Sunderlund airport(T.F. Green if your from RI), and on the Airport Rd. side, there is a P-51 sitting there. Looks like one of the prop blades is bent. Not 100% positive on that. It could have just been the way I was looking at it as I passed by. It has a Black and Yellow checkerboard tail and wing tips, with 00 on the fuse. sides also in black and yellow. Wish I could have gotten a pic of it. Going to try and go by tomorrow and try to get a shot or two of it. Anyone have any clue why it is there? Rich
  10. Caught them in Providence this afternoon around 3:00.
  11. I just purchased a Trimaster TA-152C-0 from my LHS(for a whole $20 he, he) but it is missing the instruction sheet. The ones for adding the resin nose and wings are there but not the main sheet. My question is, can I use my DML instruction sheet or does someone have a set that they could scan for me. I know DML is the Trimaster kit, but it seems that the Trimaster kit has alot more photo-etch. Also, I know that the engine that comes with the kit is incorrect for a TA-152C-0, but I am thinking of using some of the original engine(will not fit due to thickness of the resin nose, supercharger
  12. I going to use Steel Beach's B&D updates for the R/M Tomcat. Are there any resin sets which address the squared off fairings on the F-14B/D engines or am I going to have to do them with putty? It would be nice if someone made them. Anyone have any tips if I'm going to have to make them out of putty? Thanks, Richard
  13. I know this isn't a jet, but 1/48 scale for the U.S. Customs OV-1C Mohawks used for tracking drug-running aircraft.
  14. Hello all, I know this has probably has been addressed before, but does anyone make a replace set to close the decelrons on a Revellogram 1/48 A-10? Or do I have to cut them off the spar and close them myself? Anyone have any tips for doing this? TIA Rich
  15. Lets see, in no particular order: 1/48: 1. AF-2 Grumman Guardian (-s,-w, and what the heck the fire bomber) 2. A-1E Skyraider 3. The S2F family (COD, Tracker, Tracer) 4. AM-1 Mauler 1/72: 1. AJ-2 Savage (anything is better than the Mach2 one)
  16. Can the ProModeler F-4E be used to make a Thunderbird F-4? Would there be any mods. needed to the kit? TIA
  17. I hope this is true. Been waiting for one for a long time.

    Japanese paint.

Just a quick question. Did Japanese paint wear off just as fast on the underside of aircraft during WWII or was it just the green paint? I know the top is exposed to the sun more. I thought I had read that the green just did not wear well. What about the yellow ID bands on the wings, how did they fare? Thanks for the help.
  19. I saw the decals in the model gallery on his site, www.Mikegrantdecals.com. I e-mailed him and asked if he was ever going to reisssue them and he said he would make me ALPS version of them. He e-mailed me copies of the placement sheets for the two sets he has, so I could pick the set I wanted and I also got the stencil set. Two weeks later, the decals arrived at my door. They are spectacular looking and very thin, definitely better than what comes in the kit. Hope this helps.
  20. I got mine the other day, awesome. The wife got it for me for Christmas, a little late but worth the wait.
  21. Mike Grant also has decals for the Hustler. I just purchased a set from him. He has two sets for four different aircaft (two Hustlers on each set) and a stencil set(I also purchased this). I also have the Fisher intake set and it is cast real nice.
  22. Hello all, Not to sound to clueless, but how does the Fisher Model B-58 engine intakes go together. Do the long cylinders attach to the turbine face? Do the engine spikes attach to the resin intakes? Finally, do both asemblies get glue together. Just thought I would ask before I mess them up. Richard
  23. I also agree with the above posts, I have the Cobra Company A-1E cockpit and it is fantastic. Great stuff.
