  1. Cheers guys, Hasegawa it is then!
  2. Hi guys, I am aware that the aftermarket stuff is far better, but which kit does the best nozzles for the said kit in 1/72, Hasegawa or Academy? Cheers, Dave
  3. Well, things are still progressing, and have gotten to the undercoat stage so far. The kit has been more difficult to complete than I thought it would be. I have had to use a lot of filler on the seams/wing roots etc. and had problems with the white metal parts. Still, the challenge has been pretty good fun, and is certainly improving my skills somewhat. Not sure if I will be able to complete this beastie on time, but will endeavour to do so.
  4. Hi all, a bit of an update to my progress. I am trying to built this kit in between frantic studying, so it is slower than I hoped. Still, the fuselage is complete with bellytank, and all tail surfaces. I kept the cockpit spartan, just using the instrument panel and ejector seat, basically as it will be virually impossible to see the detail and to speed things up. I had to use a fair amount of filler, and will have to do a reasonable amount of rescribing, but it is starting to look like an Attacker. I apologise for the poor quality of the picture, my digital camera has decided to shuffle off i
  5. Or not. How do you get a picture onto the thread?
  6. Finally figured it out! Here is a pic of the kit and accessories. The work begins! Attacker Box
  7. Hi all, I am something of a late starter, so we will see how I fare. I will be building a Magna Models 1/72 Supermarine Attacker, which being a resin kit will be a first for me. I am also something of a novice with an airbrush (which I will be using) so the whole thing could be a disaster! However, I do have the Airwaves etched brass set and bellytank/tailwheel set, and an Aeroclub ejection seat and canopy which I was using on the Frog kit (my son melted it - don't ask...). I plan to use the modeldecal sheet with several aircraft on it, providing I can locate it in my loft. I will keep you al
  8. Any chance I can join in? I have managed to get hold of a Magna Models Supermarine Attacker, which I am itching to build. I have never built a resin kit before, so this is something of a first. I will endeavour to complete it on time if you'll have me aboard!
  9. Hi, does anyone know if a company produces a 1/72 decal sheet for the Blue Diamonds Hunters? Ikeep trying to win one on ebay when they come up, but seem to be outbid in the last few seconds, or the kits go for ridiculous prices. Help! Dave
  10. Thanks Guys, I think I'll go with the Hasegawa, as the consensus seems to be that way, and play with mods to get it right. Cheers, Dave
  11. Hi Chaps, I am looking to buy a 1/72 scale model of a F-15C, and I am aware that the best are Academy and Hasegawa. In your expert opinions, which one is better? Cheers, Dave
  12. Hi, has anyone seen this kit yet? I just wondered if it is as good as their Meteor before I order it. Cheers, Dave
  13. Thanks guys, will put it together and see how it looks!
  14. Hi all, I have just bought the above kit (which looks very nice), but the transparencies are an odd yellow colour. Is this Revell's attempt at canopy tinting or have I been given a flawed set? Many thanks Dave
