  1. I had a tour of the CF-18 Simulator at CFB Cold Lake last June and at that I was told that it cost $3500.00 per hour to run flight simulations. You have sir a very expensive Hobby! If I show my wife this perhaps I can justify a few more kits for my stash….. (c:#* I wonder if CFB will be valid after Tuesday’s announcement that the CAF will again be called the RCAF? Perhaps 4Wing will become RCAFB Cold Lake-I rather like the sounds of that!
  2. The Kinetic/Italeri Sabre gets my vote as well. Re - Golden Hawks It would have to be an “original” Golden Hawk as the “Discovery Air” Sabre that flies as a Golden Hawk has a very different cockpit not to mention the bang seat is from a Snowbirds Tutor. It’s not every day you see the pilot wave from the open cockpit – of a jet! Cold lake Air Show 2011 More on the Centennial of Flight Sabre here- http://www.maplewings.com/Centennial_Hornet.html Yes I am shameless!
  3. The pleasure is all mine at least it will be if we do get a CT-155 office – I have two Italeri kits just waiting for a nice pit! In addition to the office pictures I also have a couple of pictures of the centre line tank that I hope will blow Two Mikes minds! Edited one I’m typo hang head in shame walking towards sunset muttering "what a $#^@(& you are" to myself.............
  4. That’s one sweeeet collection sir, well done! The T2 is great and I just LOVE the Scooters. Did you know that Kinetic have a catapult in the works? I just hope I can finish my Tomcatters F-18E before its released.
  5. ROFLMAO! Yurony cawinme "bigman" causeoh yon pictursonra interweb - itwisny me themwis aw fotoshopped! (For the benefit of those who dont speak Weegie/Glesga Keely thats- You are only calling me big man because of the photographs on the Internet-that wasnt me they were all Photoshopped!) Good luck with it when its released. I'll struggle the "Twa Robies" kit into submission someday.
  6. I have an email from Mike R. and I'll get pictures to him this week. Heres hoping....
  7. Send me an email off forum through my web email address with a mailling address and I'll get a disc to you this weekend. Gone from "Snap Tight" to "Glue Required" )c:#* snap tight was a so much better description!
  8. That configuration is good (actually its very good) for the Oz birds however the Canadian Hawk is quite different. General View Rear office My 1/72 Airfix Hawk
  9. ...and I'm shocked and amazed that no one has done a resin nose and office for the Italeri Hawk! Pretty please with a cherry on top can someone do this? If you you are a known aftermarket company I'll even send you ALL the pictures you could ever need to make a master patern.
  10. Yewana tellus witsthematur wayit? (Born a Weegie and after 32 years living in Canada I still miss it!) I picked one up a few weeks ago, for $30, from someone who was clearing out a stash so a heads up on any build issues would be appreciated. (c:#*
  11. In 1/48 the choices are Hasegawa, Revell, Hasegawa, Revell (c:#* The Revell kit IS the Hasegawa kit but sells for a whole lot le$$ The new Airfix offering in 1/72 kicks *** and may just be their best 1/72 kit yet. This is a post from Hyperscale Airfix Group Forum. http://www.network54.com/Forum/578046/thread/1309499315/Out+now+-+Airfix+1-72+BAe+Harrier+GR7a-
  12. As you most likely know Raymond also owns LuckyModel who stock loads of Wolfpack stuff. Wolfpack have done a load of resin bits for Kinetic so I wouldn’t be to surprised if they where to come out with some resin “enhancements†for Kinetics T-38.
  13. I have it on good authority that an injection plastic T-45 will be released probably early mid 2012. I hope that we see decals for some of the cool 100th anniversary aircraft!
  14. 100% with you Pete the DACO Hornet book is "The Bible" for the F-18A to F-18D
  15. Hi Chomper, The aircraft are both owned by The City of Calgary -yep I do mean City Hall and they own 3 or 4 othes "of interest" that also require restoration.
  16. Thanks Tenax, I tried to do just that but system says I couldnt post that many images
  17. Maybe I should sue them? My logo (see my avitar) has been around for a few years now...
  18. Hi Dylan, I wasn’t aware of the Vankong Mossie/Spit restorations got any pictures? Calgary has done their research well and is well aware of the potential costs for these restorations so hopefully when the time comes to dip into the coffers that they will be willing to go the extra distance and “do it right†and make both of these aircraft take to the air. Re: â€I’m not moving to Calgary†when the time comes I’m not staying in Calgary!
  19. Hi Holms, they have a few people looking at the projects and I’m pretty sure that it will go ahead, in some manor or form. However I for one hope that they bite the bullet and go for a full lying restoration, To have a Mossie and a Hurryback fling in “my hood†would just kick ar$e!!
  20. It would be absolutely awesome to see ether or better still both of these birds fly again. Fingers crossed I hope the city forks out the funds to make it happen.
  21. Please note I am NOT personally involved with the project that is the subject of this post, I am like many of you an aviation enthusiast/modeler who would like to see this project done (and done right!) for the sake of preserving these two historic aircraft so that they may be enjoyed by all now and for future generations to see so that they may have a better understanding of aviation and its place in mankind’s history. However IF I am able I will try to follow the project and keep those interested updated as the aircraft take shape. Therefore ALL enquiries regarding bidding on
  22. The Kinetic 1/48 block 60 kit "should" come with UAE markings. With/without CFT is all a matter of personal preference. Last month I spent 4 days hanging around ’16 from Holland the US and Thailand and last year '16 Germany and Dubai and in my (far from) humble opinion they are all great! Tom
