  1. The El Presidente set is the only 1/72 K-8 aftermarket decal sheet that I am aware of at this point. The decals look good, but they do have some issues. They don't give any FS numbers or paint manufacturer numbers for the paint schemes, just generalized color descriptions, so you'll have to look elsewhere for exact color matches. Also, the sheet only has African and Asian air forces, no Latin American operators. Markings for Zimbabwe and Namibia are there, but no Venezuela or Bolivia. I would think that the best chance for getting aftermarket K-8 decals would be if Aztec or even Caracal p
  2. I agree, the Tamiya is probably the best, but you can't really go wrong with the Airfix F-51 too.....
  3. I have to agree with 11bee on this one, the US Army needs to go back to a layered ADA set-up, and the US Army is testing the AIAMD (Army Integrated Air and Missile Defense System), which would combine several different ADA systems into one integrated system. The Iron Dome would be the short-to-med range portion of it, however, the US Army has been testing what is known as the IFPC Inc 2-I (Integrated Fire Protection Capability Increment 2-Intercept) using a launcher about the size of a deuce and a half truck, the Sentinel radar system, and either the AIM-9X or Longbow Hellfire missile (or both
  4. I've used tier decals a couple of times with no issues with use. However, I would recommend having some photos of what you plan to build, they do occasionally have errors.

  10. Yeah, so far, that is the only picture that I could find with that pod mounted. There was no explanation of the pod in the picture caption. Being that the 124th was one of two of the last USAF/ANG units to fly the Scorpion (converted to the F-84F in 1969), I would venture a guess that it could be a prototype of a early counter ECM pod.....but that's just a guess.

  14. It could be worse..... They could announce the kit's imminent release for about 10 years, much like what Trumpeter/Hobbyboss has done with the 1/72 A-4s and MiG-19s..... There are currently more Bigfoot sightings than sightings of these kits in that time period......
