  1. Brazil isn't just getting them, Embraer is opening up a production line for producing about a third of Brazil's fleet and potential Latin American sales.
  2. Blitz announced last month that they were looking for a North American distributor for Revell kits, so it appears that they have no plans to doing it themselves.
  3. The matter was brought up again during the 1990s when there was a proposal for the Air Force to switch the A-10s for the Patriot missile system. The Army turned it down, in part, due to the cost of building and maintaining facilities for the aircraft.
  4. Actually, the 25th TFS began A-10 operations from Suwon AB in 1981 until 1989, when most of it's A-10s were transferred to the 19 TASS to replace their OV-10 Broncos at Osan. However, in 1993, the 19 TASS was re-designated the 25 TFS. The tail code for the 25th, while operating from Suwon was SU...….
  5. At this point, Zvezda has only released the MiG-29 Fulcrum C (9.13 version) and MiG-29SMT (9.17 version). They have plans for the early model MiG-29 Fulcrum A and MiG-29UB versions, but no news on when to expect them. I'm hoping they also release a MiG-29K soon. If you are looking for aftermarket decals for your MiGs, I would recommend Begemot and Linden Hill decals.
  6. Pretty much agree with Fiddler, but here is more info...... Best F-15A/C is still Hasegawa, despite it's age Best F-15E/I kit......Great Wall is a nice kit with lots of different weapons, but pricey. The Academy kit is also pretty nice, being a snap kit. It is limited when it comes to weapons and the exhaust cans are basic (someone has already come out with a replacement set {CMK?}). Hasegawa finally did some updating on their kit, but there is some debate on if it is "accurate enough". Best F-18A/C/D is Academy Best F/A-18E/F is Hasegawa Best F-16C kit would be
  7. Tauro Models had a line for Italian Air Force aircraft, including one or two sheets for Italian helicopters. They are OOP and hard to find, however, there is this set, with an AB 205, on Ebay….. https://www.ebay.com/itm/SEA-KING-AB-212ASW-AB-205-CHINOOK-ITALIAN-HELICOPTERS-TAURO-MODEL-DECALS-1-72/263633906116?hash=item3d61ce29c4:g:uZUAAOSwyXNaFPer
  8. Print Scale put out a sheet for both the Puma and the Super Puma/Cougar
  9. Most of Hobbico was picked up by Horizon and the Revell/Revell Germany/Monogram busineses went to Blitz in Germany. However, at this moment, there is no US distributor for Revell, Italeri and Hasegawa.
  10. A good camera phone or camera with plenty of sim cards and batteries.....
  11. How long will it be before these decals arrive at Sprue Brothers?
  12. They were delivered in the standard USN white over grey scheme in 1975, but was repainted in the three blues over grey shortly thereafter......
  13. There was a serious lack of something here........
  14. The Revell-Germany MiG-21F also has separate forward air brakes......
  15. Obscureco has a replacement wing set for the kit with separate slats http://obscureco.com/product_pages/OBS72013/OBS72013.html
  16. Well, after looking at a lot of Star Wars modeling sites, it appeared that the consensus was very close to FS 36622 Camouflage Grey, so I used Model Master Camo Grey from a rattle can.
  17. OK judges, start whippin' out those flashlights.......
  18. I think Ban Dai already has. Thier kits have been doing quite well in the US since Disney removed their export restrictions. Zvezda also has a license.
  19. I picked up their F-22 and F-35 paints back in September at a show in Leavenworth Kansas (the portion without the prison), but I haven't really tried to use them yet. I was hoping that someone else had an opportunity to use them to determine if they are the true "raptor sheen", or if they are regular colors that still need the sheen overcoat. Ounce for ounce, they are cheaper than Model Master. I do have their new Military Paints flyer with all of their planned colors already released up to those slated for release by the end of the year
  20. Running out of Monogram F-14s are we?..........
