  1. There was at least one more KMC set - the landing gear correction set that included the ventral airbrake in front of the main landing gear. It fixed the "sit" of the main gear like the Cobra and S.A.C. sets. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/kmc-48-5094-vought-f-8-crusader-correction-set--161208 Found that one in a shop in Tampa 25 years ago and incorporated it into my build back then.
  2. Still looking for the Eduard KC-97 PE set, 72-351. Had a couple of potentials on Scalemates but one can't find the set and the other kept e-mailing me Excel spreadsheets of all the stuff he wants to sell, not responding to "I want to buy THIS ONE" messages. Hoping someone has one that isn't going to get used and wants to part with it. Thanks! Tracy
  3. Thanks, Andy117! Searched the forums but it didn't come up, didn't think to search the site itself. Ausgezeichnet! (Excellent, auf Deutsch)
  4. Hello All & Happy Thanksgiving for the U.S. Just acquired an Aires #4565 F-14 wheel bay set for the Hobby Boss kit as part of an eBay deal. Unfortunately the instruction sheet is missing. Already checked Scalemates and there isn't one on file yet, nor at the Aires website. Anybody have one that they could scan/photograph and share? Thanks in advance, Tracy in Colorado
  5. Bought the former Cobra Co KC-97 resin set from Lone Star recently, still looking for the Eduard photoetch (72-351) if anybody has one lying around. Thanks again!
  6. Wow - 23.10 Euros for the set, and 32.16 Euros for shipping. About what I expected...
  7. Thanks Rob - I'll have to check on the shipping. Found the Eduard photoetch set for the KC-97 @ a shop in Italy for a reasonable price, but their economy shipping was like $25. OUCH!
  8. Thanks Scott, that's the kind of insight I was looking for. The fact that he hasn't taken his website down is what made me wonder. Like I said I can't imagine what they have been going through since the fire. Here in Colorado Springs we had two devastating fires back to back (Waldo Canyon in 2012 and Black Forest in 2013). Some folks were rebuilt and moved back in a little over a year, some are never going back and others are still chipping away at it - the Flying W Ranch is doing bare-bones operation while they rebuild their infrastructure. One of my Army buddies and
  9. An old buddy of mine was an IP with the Tomcat RAG when they were filming the original, and he said pretty much the same thing. Most of the extras in the classroom scenes were his star--struck students.
  10. Hello All, Does anyone know if Paul Fisher is planning to reestablish his business? I know they lost their home & workshop in the Paradise Fire last year, but the website is still up with a "not taking orders now" message up front. I can't imagine the feelings they have dealt with since then, but just wondering if anyone that knows them personally could provide any insight. Thanks in advance, Tlott

  12. Yep, I've bought former Cobra stuff from Mike before and he's a great guy. Per his Facebook page he's been dealing with some personal family stuff and reevaluating his production system. I'll buy the resin from him if I don't find anything before he gets back into production mode. Just wondering if anybody has any they aren't going to use lying around. Found the Eduard photoetch set at a shop in Italy, but they want more for shipping than the set is worth. Still looking! Tlott
  13. I've got one of the Cutting Edge sets if you're still looking. Picked it up in Tokyo on my last trip and won't be using it. Tlott
  14. Happy Holidays all, Looking for extra bits for my Academy KC-97, specifically the Cobra Company/ Lone Star detail set (72-009) and the Eduard photoetch (72-351). I'm located in Colorado, USA to figure shipping, postal code 80905. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
