  1. I use this modified sewing needle in a pin vise to apply superglue or Mr. Surfacer, especially if only a small drop/dab is required. Chris
  2. I tried to register, but I don't know what " Komt u uit Nederland / Belgie ?: " means. It didn't translate to English. Chris
  3. Well, I haven't finished anything in a few decades. Shift work and family can dampen your mojo quite a bit. Since retirement, I have only started Airfix;s new 1/72 Hawker Hurricane. Now this kit fits together quite nicely and the seams were small with few gaps. About all I've used so far is Mr. Surfacer 1000, a bit of Superglue, some 600 grit sandpaper and a Tamiya Fine Sanding stick. Chris
  4. I'll be watching this one. Always like Canadian content. This forum needs a " like " button. Chris
  5. I bit the bullet and have gone Flickr Pro. It works out to about a dollar a week, for the first year. Even though I'm now retired, I can afford that. My pension and retirement funds were set up fairly well. Chris
  6. From the Alberta Aviation Museum in Edmonton. Chris
  7. Well CRAP! I haven't received anything from Flickr yet, but if it's true, I'll soon be screwed. I have just over 840 images on my account and it's only taken me less than a year and a half to get that many, after PB went stupid. Chris
  8. At the time the Jo-Han kits came out, they were, in my opinion, quite good kits. I only ever managed to acquire the P-47 and the Me109 kits. Mind you, I lived outside a small town in Eastern Canada and didn't have access to any hobby stores so my options on kit purchases was limited. Hasegawa kits were an unknown then. It was mostly Airfix, FROG, some Revell with a smattering of Monogram. There were Lindberg kits, too, but I'll speak no more on those. Chris

All I see is: Image Not Found Or Was Removed. Chris
  10. I've got what you need. Now these parts are from the early 80's. My friend had made a brief start on the kit, but in '86, he decided to go back home to the East coast and left me his small stash. As I do 1/72, I just reduced for reuse. These have been in the clear parts bin since then. They weren't removed from the sprues all that carefully, just so you know. Yours if you want'em. Chris
  11. Thanks, but that's not working either. Chris
  12. I haven't been able to get there since Thursday. Anyone else have this issue? Chris
  13. Some early P-40's had natural metal props but with the rear face painted flat maroon, as an anti-glare measure. GOOGLE it. Chris

    New Airfix B-26

Wow! It's amazing just how far one blighted individual can drag a good, honest question down into the bilges. Chris
  15. Put the decals in a clear plastic bag and tape it to a southern facing window, decals facing out. Wait a few days. Repeat if necessary. Chris

  17. I wonder if the prop tips wouldn't be painted yellow, like these wartime Walruses. Chris
  18. Yeah, there's not much here besides modern jets anymore. I only stop by about once a week, just in case someone does something WW2-ish. Chris
  19. No probs here. I was just on Hyperscale a few minutes ago. Chris
  20. Another unusual Canadian placename. From Newfoundland: Chris
  21. From MMP Westland Lysander by James Kightly. Chris
  22. Try finding wee bits that have dropped onto a grey painted concrete basement floor that is badly chipped, scratched and flaking with my old eyes. Always a challenge. Chris
