  1. Jeff, I really like the Hurricane Hunters. My dad was based in Keesler back in the 60's and we actually went thru Hurricane Camille when I was 8. Was a fun night for us kids but the parents panicked a bit and quit a few people lost their lives that night. I may have to do one of these in 72nd.

The latest FSM has a good article on stretching a J and mentions some landing gear fairing enhancements.
  3. Testors came through for me today. I had picked up a 48th scale SR-71 from a vendor this year. Said there were parts from2 kits but some were missing. Well, I figured I could probably find enough to make at least one kit. Wrong. It appeared that the same sprue was missing from both kits (forward fuselage). Sent a letter to Testors to see if I could get enough of the missing parts to make at least the one kit. Today, got a whole new kit and no charge. Instead of saying "you got taken by a vendor" or even a few of the missing parts. They send a kit that can be built. So, anyone mis

  8. My son and I went to it yesterday and I enjoyed the show. While knowing a little about it, I have never read the books (lapse on my part). My son picked up the hardback version on sale at Barnes & Noble with all 5 books plus a new story and it was on clearance. I have dubs on it as soon as he finishes. Oh yeah, the petunias were there.

  15. Latest review model for IPMS is the Italeri CH-53 Super Jolly Green. Also got the new Modern Battlefield Warplanes book from AirTime. Great stuff on the A-10, Harrier II, Apache, Cobra, Hind, Su-25 and Hokum. Looks like a great book.

  18. I finally got something in the mail instead of all the resin kits I have been mailing recently. My latest is an Italeri 72nd AC-119K. Been after this kit for a long time and finally got it on a Second Chance offer on eBay. Now, what else is out there...
