  1. Ordered (with some others as usual...)
  2. The Tyndall jet looks great :). Would it take much to add the blue section with stars forward of the rudder stripes for a later version? This is one of those subjects were there are just so many nice choices of markings - that it'll be hard to narrow it down.
  3. Tyndall would be nice considering how big a role it played in 'Six history...
  4. Why, the one with the... Old joke
  5. It also shows that a company can only re-release their kits with crappy decals for only so long...
  6. They sent me a test shot (because of all my T-Bird flight time) - looks pretty good to me...
  7. Thanks Kursad - It's a helluva' jigsaw puzzle - and I'm impressed with how much you guys can get on a sheet and make it all work... Hitch
  8. I've ordered my B-1 sheet - and in looking at the artwork - I was wondering... How do you lay out the artwork to fit on the sheets (in simple terms). Seems like that is a helluva' geometric puzzle with no two sheets being alike. Is it artwork first - then lay it out, or artwork to fit a certain space? It's always been interesting to me how much stuff decal makers are able to cram into such a tight space. Regards, Hitch
  9. An awesome VFX video on YouTube. Watch it quick before the Mouse takes it away... Absolutely unbelievable what's achievable - and the attention to detail...
  10. Saw it on the second link - thank you for posting it - that was great :)
  11. When I asked the question then - some answers I got were that not all Cartograf decals are the same quality. I can't verify that - but again, others at the time said it wasn't uncommon. It being my first experience with them - I was surprised given their reputation.
  12. I bought this 1/32 Academy F/A-18 specifically due to its Cartograf decal sheet. It came out ok - but it was a real struggle to get these decals to work. Some on the boards suggested at the time that the decals Cartograf does for companies like Academy aren't as good as their own product (which I know doesn't sound right). It being my first experience with them - I was really surprised. I've used other decals printed by them since - with good luck. On this project though - I had to use every product and trick I had to make them work.
  13. I had one of those - sold it for $200 on eBay a couple of years ago - hated to let it go - but, it'd really take a lot of work to make it look decent. I'd heard a rumor then that there was going to be an injection molded T-38 from an Asian company. That obviously didn't come to pass, but Tan Model is supposed to be coming out with a 1/32 injection T-38. Oddly enough, the jet on the box is from Laughlin AFB, and there weren't decals in the kit to do that (and that's what I wanted).
  14. This is my Fine Molds 1/48 X-Wing. Looks to be the same kit (which is very nice).
  15. In a world full of dark news every day, Star Wars is a bright spot of fun. When I first saw it in 1977, I'd never seen anything like it before or since. How many other vintage '77 things are you still interested in? In 2015, I'm more jaded, and have seen a lot more things, but that doesn't diminish my hope that some things can still be good. I enjoyed it very much - my friends and I actually enjoyed the familiarity, while introducing new aspects at the same time. The fact that it provides so much fun, for so many (including a whole new generation of younglings) is a good thing. I'm loo
  16. He was gone??? Sorry... Someone was bound to say it :) Welcome Dave - Merry Christmas Hitch
  17. There used to be a toy collectible shop called; "Stuff your Mom threw away" Always liked that one :)
  18. Wow... That's really nice.
  19. If it's "self-imposed" - can't you just un-impose it???
  20. Two books and two sticker sheets ordered! Thanks for deal Jake :) Hitch
  21. This will be one of those kits that you buy more of, just 'cause there's some really nice stickers for it...
  22. I would imagine that whatever does get done, there will be those who lament those that did not... I believe I saw in the pictures on Hyperscale - what looked like intake covers - which would be a really nice addition - and would be great to have in every jet kit :)
