  1. Hello everyone, Just a quick question - I know that the recent boxing of the 1/48 Bone has plastic/vinyl tires instead of the rubber ones. Are the 'plasticy' ones much inferior to the rubber ones? Has anyone used them? Perhaps, it would be possible to see some photos of those new tires/gear assembled with them for comparison? Or maybe you know of an on-line build where they have been used? I think all the ones I've seen had the rubber ones. Thanks a lot for your help in advance! Michal
  2. I can confirm that the Air France release comes with an additional set of turbine disks. I have the kit. As for accuracy of these - I'm sorry but I am unable to say... anything.
  3. Hmm. Beats me. There is no "contact us" section on the English language website... I've found the name of the distributor for Poland under "world wide partners" tab and will try to drop them a line...
  4. OK, thanks a lot! ARC is informative as always. Couple of things though: 1. Great looking Raptor model! 2. Congratulations to Academy for trying to improve an already good model (although I still think Hasegawa's nose looks a tad better). The new Academy's nose still seems a bit blunt. But maybe it's just me... 3. Hasegawa's LO panels look so much better than applying Eduard's PE. And two questions: Does anyone know a Europe-based shop with online service where the retooled versions can be bought? Or, maybe, one could try and purchase the fuslage moulds directly via Academy's replacement
  5. Wow. I had no idea that Academy have done any improvements to the moulds of their 1/48 Raptor. Do you have any more information (photos?) about the retooling of the nose and/or any other changes? Thanks, Michal
  6. Bad luck for me... I actually got nailed for around 320 GBP on my debit card here in Poland... My bank had tried to contact me earlier today but I couldn't answer the phone and the transactions went through. The three unathorised transactions are still waiting to be processed and it's possible that the money will not be debited at all. If it is debited, I was told to inform the Police so that insurance proceedings can commence. One important point - the whole issue concerns not only people who have bought anything at Hannnants in the last few weeks. My one and only purchase from them was o
  7. Hi, Flogger! Thank you very much for your help. I think clear sprue is closer to the original B2 windows anyway. I can barely see any tint to B2's cockpit. As for Revell's canopies - I know that Revell's recent Raptor was produced with both clear and tinted canopies too but here the tint is well substantiated because you can see it in many Raptor pictures. But I am still wondering if B2's windows are coated the same way as with F22/F35 - it's stealth after all. As for HobbyCraft's B2, here's an example link: http://www.modelhobbies.co.uk/shop/hobbycr...281-p-5194.html
  8. Hello, Guys, Two questions: 1. I have done some "research" and it seems that Revell's B2 has gold tinted windshield while Revell of Germany B2s have clear (white) windshield. Does the real plane have any tint to its cockpit windows? Most of the pictures I've seen indicate that no, at least not in the way that e.g. Raptor's canopy is tinted. 2. Has anyone seen the below kit: Hobbycraft 1/144 B-2 Stealth Bomber # 1281 [HBC1281] ? It retails for more than Revell's kit. Is it better/more detailed? Thanks a lot!
  9. Just to let you know about Heller's excellent customer service. I sent an email to flashservice@hellerjoustra.com and 5 days later I had a well-protected package delivered to my address. Five days in total from the day of sending an inquiry! If anyone from Heller is reading this, thank you very much again. I am really pleasently surprised.
  10. Thanks, Guys. The services webpage loads but it is impossible to send an actual message. Yes, I've seen those slips - I understand that they need to be mailed to Heller?
  11. Hello, Has anyone ever used Heller's customer service? My A380 in 1/125 has two broken and twisted parts I'd like to try and replace. Here, on ARC I found a mention of this link: http://www.heller.fr/en/services_conso.html. Unfortunately, it does not work for me (bad URL). Is there any other way to ask for spares (sending a letter, maybe?)? Your help would be appreciated. How likely are they to respond, by the way? Thanks!
  12. Hi, thanks a lot. I came across this review on Monday. Looks like they added new turbine blades and some strengthening of the sprue around cockpit sections.
  13. Hello, Everyone, Has anyone seen Heller's new A380 1/125 in Air France livery? I assume this kit is a re-release of the previous plastic with new decals. Am I correct or are these new moulds / added sprues? Also, if these are the old sprues repackaged do you know if the sink marks on the wings (lower parts in the flaps area) have been fixed since the original release? I have only seen First Flight releases and all kits have these sink marks. I was just wondering about the later Lufthansa nad Air France kits. Thanks a lot!
  14. Great, thanks a lot for your reply. That's what I thought. Do you know the price difference between the PE and no PE releases? The kit is expensive enough (especially with the surface problem) even without the PE fret that seems not so great.
  15. Ok, I think Hasegawa's Raptor is going to start popping up in LHSs in my part of the world and thus I have two questions to the people who have/have seen it: 1. Do you think stuff like intakes, weapon bays, vertical stabs, wheel wells etc. could be transplanted onto Academy's fuselage without unreasonable amount of effort? 2. The PE for the exhaust petals included in the early release looks just wrong to me as far as texture goes, when compared to photos of the real thing. Is there a point in getting the version with this PE fret included? I already have Academy's bird and was thinking of k
